Worse in fact.

There's a bright side to everything.

Somerset have declared themselves to be one of the interested parties, so it's a bit more than a rumour, not to say it might all fall through though.
-
I think riders, named mechanics and officials, should be the only people permitted to be in the pits during a meeting. If they wish to allow sponsors or guests before the start time, that would be adequate. Personally I don't even like media interviews during racing, if they must have it, make sure it's only in a designated space away from all the pits activities.

There are three clubs considering joining the EL, so it might well be a bigger league than last year.

They aren't running anyway.

It has a superior lubrication system which means much longer intervals between services.

Yes but there should have been a penalty, that would have wiped the smarmy look off his face. By the way, was he speaking English?

Almost old enough to be a Speedway supporter.

Comparison - Speedway To Other Sports
foamfence replied to BFMDan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The problem is that income levels have been allowed to go beyond what is viable, the result is that some riders are owed money by struggling promoters. The very top guys (GPs Polish league, Swedish League and even some fit in the Elite league as well) are said to be able to make many thousands per week, along with some generous sponsorship, I read it to be well over £30,000 per week for some. These days riders can make a reasonable living in the Premier League, where in the past it would have had to fit in with a regular job for many, below that there will be very few making any sizeable amount of money. I have no idea what people make in the sports you mentioned. -
Agreed (I stopped). I think some get them out of habit and to catch up on a few things you don't see on line.
-
There aren't any alternatives, so it has no competition. If you don't like your newspaper you can try another.
-
There's already a thread running for this.
-
There hasn't been betting allowed 'for all speedway history.'
-
But then, what if you lose your potential winnings because one rider deliberately throws a race to make his main sponsor look good?

Here's another opinion then....http://www.dailystar...way-world-title

Some seem to be more gullible than you.....And the ref of course.

Wildcards 2017.....

Hmm. Well we'll have to see what Monster Joe decides ( unless of course he's recruited Nicki to the ranks of the sugary stuff). -
I would be extremely surprised if what you 'hope' happens, they aren't exactly known for condemnations or passing opinions. Doubtless Philip will be on later to refute this.

Exactly!

But the point is it was done to aid someone who is sponsored by the same company (who pulls the strings?), it might have affected someone's betting and the subsequent walk out robbed spectators of what they had paid to see. Fair enough if you can see similar events by other riders but that doesn't justify what he did.
