In my view it's an attempt at survival and I applaud those who have put their money where their mouth is. If every team had two GP riders and the admission was a fiver, you'd still get some khundts moaning on here.
If you ordered 100 they would be cheaper than that, especially if you were offering exclusivity. Personally I doubt it will happen and the more likely contract would be with JAWA. You never know though, they might all be on electric bikes supplied by Dyson one day.
I agree (I'm not a lover of small tracks) but it gets harder to find and buy the land for such tracks, so we're stuck with trying to preserve what we have.
I remember Reg riding for Bradford at Greenfield Stadium, in the Provincial League.
Reg features among many other great names here- http://edinburghspeedway.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/provincial-league-riders-championship.html
Well it's already nudged GM into developing a better lubricated engine, so it might well 'help Speedway' if manufacturers are feeling obliged to up their game.
Oh OK then, put it this way. That looks like a team just making up the numbers, rather than seriously competing and I'm quite confident that certain other sides will be 'seriously competing,' even though they haven't yet publicly released their full line-ups.
I'm not comparing it to any but it's weak, has a long tail and a few hit and miss riders. The right leadership might make a difference (as I've already said).
It isn't a good idea to advise people not to go to meetings, whether they 'moan' or they don't, personally I think the team looks weak rather than 'decent' but you never know, the new set-up may work wonders with what they've got.
