  1. That used to be normal at every track in the country.
  2. It is very professional in appearance. The two biggest problems are that 1= I'ts always going to be a week out of date and 2= It isn't quite as crusading as some would like. Others will undoubtedly disagree with my reservations and it is their right to hold whatever opinions they might have. With so many internet sources of information, I find myself buying it less and less, and not really missing it when I don't.
  3. That doesn't answer my question. So if the promoter can't get Coventry back in go, would you prefer the club to run elsewhere or not at all? That can happen anyway.
  4. Wouldn't sharing any other track be preferable to nothing?
  5. It takes a lot longer and costs a great deal more to put everything back, it'll also require a series of safety certificates, much as it would with a new stadium. There are also claims of damage that conflict with your post. You could be right (hopefully) and everything gets put right, but if this episode is an example of the way those involved go about things, it reflects badly on them all and might easily lead to something equally stupid in the future.
  6. I understand that but it's still robbed the fans of their sport (I can't see any way back).
  7. I can't believe what I just heard there, so you remove all the fittings (roughly) from a stadium and then announce that you might be prepared to put them back?
  8. I'd be very surprised if he did, imagine the cost and time involved.
  9. It might morph into a Coventry thread, the way things are going at Brandon.
  10. Yes it does look like full stop, the silence is deafening.
  11. Yes, I meant that I read it from another source and the figure wasn't mentioned. So it's to be 42 then.
  12. They certainly intend to re-adjust them then but when I read it the figure wasn't mentioned.
  13. He's still promoter until a new one is in place and approved by the BSPA.
  14. If it wasn't for the council there wouldn't be any speedway next season and the stadium wouldn't have been built in the first place.
  15. http://www.skysports.com/speedway/news/15748/10643094/belle-vue-aces-lose-speedway-licence-after-financial-problems
  16. The BSPA have guaranteed that they'll run, in the case of Belle Vue they are to appoint a promoter to act on their behalf for up to three years, this has been agreed with the council and has probably progressed further than we know already.
