  1. As he's a works rider, I doubt he actually owns the one he's riding.
  2. I don't know and this isn't about him. Loram and Havelock were winners too. Lambert still has a way to go and there is no guarantee that Tai would improve things here (I did say that he deserves a try though, as long as it's in sympathy with the current youth set-up).
  3. I didn't say he should but I do have a greater regard for those who do.
  4. There are never guarantees, whatever the method and whoever does it. He's a natural, you don't get that many of them, Kenny Carter was one.
  5. He doesn't do it all on his own, he's had assistance from retired and current riders, I believe Steve Worrall is one.
  6. It doesn't necessarily follow that Tai would be a brilliant mentor or coach, there have been top performers in all sports who weren't successful in that way. I would agree that he deserves a try but it should be within the framework set by those who are already doing a pretty fair job, if that means "jumping through hoops" then so be it.
  7. Holder and KK aren't British, Nichols and Richardson did actually ride here and both had a longer history of representing us in SWC events.
  8. Because it's open to ALL members, not just those who agree 100% with everything he does?
  9. And I thought they were an attempt to balance team strengths, oh well.......Wrong again
  10. I wasn't aware of that, I thought it lasted all season. You live and learn.
  11. Yes but they now have one average for all league racing, so he might well be about to be toppled.
  12. Morris has had two less than brilliant meetings at Championship level.
  13. That's totally understandable and I have similar views but you never know, the prodigal might return and redeem himself.....Then again, he might just launch a MOAB of expletives our way.
  14. Not that soon, that Tweet is five days old.
  15. I thought that but they've just said Philips has got the last place, on updates.
  16. We are light years behind the Poles! But they have seemingly unlimited financial backing and unlimited practice time, we have neither and probably never will have. If he wants to change things he should carry on lobbying those who run things, rather than taking his ball home and bleating to the press. I also don't like the fact that interviewers keep having to apologise for his language, I know some others do it but that is no excuse. Anyway I made my suggestion as to where I think he'd be most effective, so I'm not anti-him or anything.
  17. I did see his good side, I suggested where I think he might be most effective. I don't consider the language he sometimes uses, to be well spoken or necessarily connecting with the younger generation, neither do I like his back stabbing of our set-up, I don't think alienating the fans from the people who currently run our Speedway, to be particularly fair.
  18. He was riding them last night and in all Wolves matches. He did more passing last night than the rest put together.
  19. I think he might have more to offer to riders who are near to being internationals at senior level, Lambert, Bates, Ellis etc. They would probably find a lot more relevance with him than the younger riders. As mentioned, I'm delighted with the way our junior set-up is going anyway. Hopefully if he ever gets the chance to mentor or coach, his more yobbish side doesn't prove to be infectious.
  20. Half empty stadium, poor track and Monster tw@ still lurking in the pits......It'll get better (except for the last bit).
