  1. Then there was a televised meeting where slow motion footage showed someone's roost hitting one and the rider falling. I don't remember if it was actually proven to be the cause of the fall but the spoilers disappeared quickly after that. Wasn't it Tommy Knudsen?
  2. Don't know but a few people will hope it's a long recovery (judging by some recent comments).
  3. Harris had one a year before that, was still using it in his grass bike last season.
  4. The 'seal' allows the warranty, if you don't care you can break the seal and do what you will, there have been unsealed ones on sale for two or more years.
  5. If you buy an unsealed one (more expensive) you can do whatever you like with it. The sealed ones are already tuned and come with a warranty that is broken if the seal is.
  6. Making the best of current tracks would be a start, Poole and Kings Lynn used to be much better than they are now.
  7. One big league can work and it's been done more than once, you might have to bring in a few more NL riders though. Personally I doubt that either of our ideas will happen any time soon but you never know.
  8. Sorry about that! I do agree with your point though.
  9. Then again, there are plenty of other young riders who seem to be doing OK in the Championship. I think the most likely combining would be between the Premiership and Championship and as you mention the NL, it seems to be becoming a career choice for riders who aren't young but like being big fish in small ponds, that is even more of a stumbling block for young riders. 1 rider/coach is acceptable but some sides seem to be stocked with them.
  10. Winning (to me) is more important than good racing leading to a loss. The whole point of any sport is to try to win, any entertainment factor is just a bit of icing on the cake. I know some folks come on here and say the opposite, especially when their team is near the bottom of the league but I suspect they'd be happy with a few (fairly predictable) wins.
  11. Some riders are still testing both, I see Paul Hurry has one now. There are some posters who seem to dig out anything not 100% positive about GTRs. On the whole the number of GTR users is increasing.
  12. Presumably you mean Richie Worrall? He usually goes well, good job Kus isn't still at Redcar or you'd struggle to get him out of the lavatory with Richie riding.
  13. I rather suspect that someone else might have influenced his decision to retract his posts, he certainly didn't show "sound common sense" in making them and the "heat" seemed to last a good few moments. All rather sad really, I wish him well but I also wish that he'd return to the fold and just get on with it.
  14. There IS something wrong with that, he played along as much as those who weren't 100% complimentary did and then reduced himself to a low level. I can fully understand him not riding in the Premiership but I can't understand why he won't ride for GB or in the national championship. Surely he would exert more influence from inside than by staying away? It all comes across as a personal dislike of Rosco, there may be other riders who wouldn't choose him as a personal friend but they haven't been so petty about things as Tai has. It's good that we have a rider at the top level but he certainly seems to make hard work of getting the supporters behind him (with the exception of the 'nodding dogs' for whom the great one can do no wrong).
  15. While I agree that it was a good move and certainly brought some riders on, who were the three?

  17. Statement from Glasgow boss...... Glasgow boss Stewart Dickson said: “We can't argue with the paramedics. I can understand if a rider is taken not well. “The only thing I would add is the timing of it - the fact that it took 40 minutes to repair the air fence and the rider in question was fine up until then, but the minute the air fence was repaired, he suddenly took not well. “The timing seemed a bit odd. But we wish the rider well. It was obviously very serious for the Redcar promotion to abandon the meeting.” The 'rider' is in hospital with back and shoulder problems!
  18. One young hopeful replaced by another.
