Sounds more like rider replacement
-
Yes.

Some have certainly done that in the past. Well you aren't going to get that and the NSS is quite near to dwellings and commercial buildings.

Redcar V Glasgow Thursday

Yes, so has Danny. Davey guests, prepare for massive away win! -
http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/5987/holder-no-regrets-over-safety Holder's response is about what you'd expect but it doesn't come across as doing him many favours, the appeal should be interesting anyway.
-
Agreed! I think if you put a new framework in place, the riders might grumble but I doubt many would actually quit.
-
Quite a few tracks hold training schools, Redcar have a few each year, Northside is solely a training track and Scunthorpe hold training schools and run amateur meetings throughout the winter.

If the clubs go bankrupt the riders will be out of work anyway. The current system of doubling-up and guests (four at Swindon tonight!) has robbed the sport of what little credibility it had. The idea of running the sport to suit the riders isn't working, the sport has to be run to suit the fans and they want their own settled teams and less guests. "Conference" and "Armature"? Actually your point about the "middle tier" is correct, why not just have one big league and be done with it?
-
We all have our own opinions, personally I'd prefer to see an end to doubling up and more places for NL riders and yes I do realise that some of them would struggle.
-
It was and that's how it should be again if we are forced to have it. With rumours about Poland possibly moving the goalposts again and Sweden considering a league restructure, we might find a number of riders are as yet undecided about next season.

Dangerous Machines Or Dangerous Tracks.

Because they create more wheelspin, so if you suddenly hit any grip they take off. -
Mt liquid cosh has a vitriol firewall.

I don't think 'banning' Aussies is wanted or will happen, more likely a requirement to commit for a certain length of time. If you consider overseas riders who have been dropped due to the 'averages' game and those NL riders who have some experience at a higher level (like Rye bringing in Morley and Newcastle with Hopwood), then you would probably have enough riders to remove the need for doubling up.
-
No, because Chris was much younger when he started as a GP rider. Good luck to Craig though (hope he proves me wrong).

Dangerous Machines Or Dangerous Tracks.

Sorry but that is just daydreaming, ask Cradley and Coventry fans. If you can build a stadium on a plot you can usually build something else, something that rakes in more money and which developers and financiers are more likely to invest in. Hopefully Cradley might get a new home but it's taken decades to get to the current stage. Somerset was built on the club owners land and Belle Vue will be lucky if it's financial backers ever get their full investment back. -
Absolutely right! I can't imagine that you'll find many (if any) who disagree with this, well done!
-
Nigel frequently tells you how many clubs each rider has and who are guests. You need to have YOUR team and you need to see them race THEIR team, not select v select.
-
Open your eyes!
-
Tonight's televised meeting from Somerset has three guests and a R/R.
-
There are plenty of riders using them and it still has plenty of benefits over a GM. Even Freddie Lindgren says that he's not necessarily finished with them yet, when you consider his form in the early GP rounds, that's hardly surprising.

Time To Crack Down On The Aussies?
foamfence replied to Daniel Smith's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I don't think it's a question of banning, more a case for some sort of contracted commitment. -
This was posted the other day and does have some relevance. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=84881

The answer would be to have one league. You would need to reduce averages to allow more lower end riders to fill the places and you could even reduce the teams to six riders. The current system might be very lucrative for some but it isn't credible to a newcomer and is beyond understanding to anyone outside the sport. Fans need to be able to identify better with the teams, rather than seeing Bomber riding for every team in the league.

That could be true but in other cases where the fine wasn't paid the suspension continued, then again, the fine might have already been paid.
