  1. Well they get to some training camps and some have been getting into international events this year, plus there is the Poultec scheme. You might well suggest more things but this is a whole lot more than the nothing of years ago. You already knew all that though Phil, so are you just trying to stir something up or have you any ideas of your own that could realistically be added?
  2. Some very promising names there, I think the most improved rider this year has been Nathan Greaves, I wouldn't have said that prior to this season but he's really come on.
  3. Cookie was in court for it. http://metro.co.uk/2007/07/20/naked-drunk-driver-gets-banned-564097/
  4. Yes but reserves are essential in case of withdrawals, even when we had six man teams there was a system in place if someone withdrew. Tactical's other than reserves were just invented to perpetuate the idea that Speedway isn't a genuine sport but a circus act. It's mainly since the rolling average was introduced that you can get reserves who are better than main body riders.
  5. Exactly and Newcastle are proudly announcing that you only have to pay £20 to see this farce! They'll be lucky if they get 200 there.
  6. Reserves are there for replacing other team members, surely everyone accepts that?
  7. No it isn't, it's in the rules that they can impose a seven day rest period on any rider claiming sickness, as he seems to do this before certain selected meetings and didn't inform them in time to get a replacement, it's understandable and quite surprising that another GB international hasn't yet copped for the same thing.
  8. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-bees-first-look-plans-13772079 Plans for housing at Brandon.
  9. Well after people have paid to see him and been denied (several times) you might expect criticism.
  10. Exactly! Which strangely occurs before certain meetings but not others, and prevents him giving notice of absence reasonably early.
  11. Funny coincidences about the Actual meetings that Cook has missed and the short notice involved. the mystery illness seems to be very selective as to when it kicks in and when it doesn't.
  12. Fiddling their own money? funny how lots of them have gone out of business. Talking of Labour....... .....http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/labour/10462871/Its-no-coincidence-the-MPs-found-guilty-of-fiddling-are-all-Labour.html
  13. I can think of three Championship clubs threatening to quit because of low crowd numbers, so while it might be possible that numbers in general have risen, there are still plenty of clubs that look to be in the brown stuff. From what I've seen Down!
  14. Oh alright then, if you wont accept criticism or suggestions there's no point! Actually there's no point anyway as the promoters have had pre-conference meetings and will pretty much have decided what they're going to do, so this is just an exercise for anoraks.
  15. Why give preference to Commonwealth riders, after the trouble from old snipe nose and his 'woohaa' brother this season, I should think a lot of folks would like to see less of them? Don't forget that the conference consists of those people who have actually put their money where their mouth is and while they do look at suggestions, they also have to look at their bank balance.
  16. I think the real problem is from Emails and personal messages that they've received.
  17. To be honest, veiled threats aren't going to restore pride and respect, having said that, sending abusive Emails and PMs can be upsetting (I thought only Wolves fans did that).
