  1. Yes but you can't imagine it working the other way.
  2. I especially like his ideas for the league but as we already know, they aren't going to happen, otherwise there wouldn't be all this about fixed race nights and teams already signing riders (or trying to) on the strength of it. A set-up as described by Jim certainly sounds better than what we are likely to get, maybe the promoters will have a light bulb moment and adopt it?........ Nah!
  3. I couldn't disagree with any of that Dean but this whole sorry saga was started by a Polish club using it's financial muscle to do whatever it likes.
  4. What is needed above all is clarity, we should know exactly what will happen when rules are broken. From what I've read about this particular case, is that both parties weren't clear as to how to proceed, either that or they aren't revealing all the facts. Brown envelopes seem to have added yet another nail to British Speedway's coffin, there is great need for transparency.
  5. I think he's in it because nobody else will do it.
  6. Totally agree, some tracks are just not suited to today's bikes and engines. Sheffield used to be a brilliant racetrack but now it looks too narrow and processional. Belle Vue has moved the bar, it just makes most of the others look sick.
  7. I think you're probably right, the only question mark is whether those 'improved attendances' are improved enough to pay the wage bill.
  8. Lakeside look to be going into the Championship now so they can avoid the fixed nights of the premiership, so that (if it happens) should be good news and add a much needed southern side.
  9. Six man teams are better than no man teams, I'm not that interested in what they wear. Anyway we look to be having pretty much more of the same thing, with the exception of fixed race nights for the Premiership.
  10. Going for one big league has certainly worked in the past.
  11. Totally agree! Those at the top with delusions of grandeur, need to take off the rose tinted glasses and see things for what they are. One league, no double-ups, anyone who doesn't like it or reckons they can't afford to carry on, can go elsewhere, the sport is more important than they are.
  12. I doubt you'd get Charles without him doubling up. Not too sure about Jonas, I don't think he's made much progress. Ben is a must!
  13. Except that it didn't answer your question.
  14. They are still available on the BSPA site, why don't you ask Chris Louis, he distributes them?
  15. Although the two posts above are quite comprehensive, is there anything much of note in them that you didn't already know?
  16. There are loads around the country.
  17. No it doesn't, it gives the impression of variety. A different team every week and no doubling-up. It doesn't matter if the big names are there or not, it's still better than seeing the same seven teams twice and having long intervals between meetings.
  18. I thought that was when we paid our bucket load of cash to go through the turnstiles.
  19. The 'seal' is for the warranty, if you're prepared to forgo the warranty you can do whatever you like with it.
  20. As the top ten always get in, why not make it that the top ten qualify?
  21. Not really, Bomber just sold two complete bikes with GM engines, both new this year, six grand for the pair!
