  1. As the safety fence is already within inches of the supports I doubt that would work and you wouldn't want to chuck riders back onto the track and possibly under the wheels of others following. I seem to remember that a Speedway representative has already visited it and said it was OK, so there must be some plan for it.
  2. Basically it's a form of entertainment (on a par with Stockcars and fairgrounds) masquerading as a sport.
  3. No problem for Stockcars but I thought there had to be a space behind the fence for Speedway, that looks like a death trap to me, where it goes right up to the hospitality lounge.
  4. Gps are a law unto themselves and that git who sticks his sickly product in everyone's hand before they're interviewed. The statement to which you answered was about league racing.
  5. It certainly has a better track than any of them.
  6. Possibly so but there are going to be more young riders coming in to offset the shortage.
  7. It isn't the case, professional sportspersons may travel without lockdown but they have to undergo regular testing and have certificates.
  8. How do you know who is unsigned, some promoters hold back on announcements for various reasons?
  9. It was always a tarmac track, when the Speedway closed the shale was taken elsewhere.
  10. It'll make it easier to move to indoor arenas and inner city venues and you'll be able to have audible race commentary.
  11. There'll be a lot of things on hold, they don't even know whether they'll get a full season next year.
  12. So many meetings would suggest no Speedway.... https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/18814129.odsal-moves-closer-seeing-stock-cars-return-2021/
  13. Well I just looked through five or six and found no mention of him being a Speedway rider, as most people have never heard of Speedway and even less Garrity, I doubt there'll be much lasting damage.
  14. Yes, the 'cutback manoeuvre' might take on a HOLE new meaning.
  15. Then again, you thought Worzel would win the general election.
  16. He has no future, he's wooden on a bike and they can see that.
