  1. There haven't been any false claims.
  2. Is there a decline? There certainly is since my early visits in the 50s but is it continued, is it worse now than two or three years ago? I ask because my local tracks are long gone.
  3. I don't think it's very good of him at all, accountability is surely part of the job (even if such events are few and far between).
  4. One has to wonder how long he'll last.
  5. We already pretty much have that now but clubs like Redcar and Newcastle are running on fresh air, so would the only Premiership club in the north have to downgrade to their level?
  6. We were supposed to see a new regime in place for starting procedures, It's just as bad now as it was last year, certain riders would do well on 'Gardeners Question Time.'
  7. Exactly, It should be about the riders, not the bikes.
  8. Wright has been a bit patchy too. Needs Sarjeant to get going, either on track or down the road.
  9. Yes but he rode for Redcar for years, he has always had these problems, what with this and his very erratic form, they might select their riders more wisely in future.
  10. The promoters wouldn't get a fine, the Czechs have no power over UK promoters but Kus might get a fine from his own country, or even a suspension. Redcar should have known all this, Kus frequently missed meetings when he was there before.
  11. Probably because it isn't actually a league, it's a four team tournament. Four clubs, four riders plus a reserve in each side and that's it.
  12. So we revert to the problems of doubling-up clashes? It's a big problem either way but I can't see any changes happening until the season is over. Personally I would prefer one big league and any riders missing for continental league engagements only being replaceable by a NL rider, that way promoters might be a bit more careful about who they sign.
  13. Of course they did, as for "the paying public" he should have thought of that when he assembled this shower.
  14. Brawley? Great racing, great track, where was the crowd?
  15. Would Georgie Wood have fitted? I'd have gone for him ahead of Smith.
  16. Is it? I don't think there is any 'law' to stop any country running on whatever day they like. I think the 'priority' thing is because Lambert signed for all his overseas clubs before he signed for a UK club, he actually said that he doubted that he'd be riding here, before a contract was sorted for him.
  17. Before the season started, it was generally considered around this forum that Redcar, Newcastle and Berwick were unlikely to challenge for anything, unless made of wood. Obviously it would be unwise to stretch your finances too far, so there is some excuse for assembling such (on paper) weak sides. Redcar probably looked the best of the bunch but Berwick and Newcastle have had far more success so far, they seem to have gelled their riders into teams, Redcar haven't! Why?
  18. It's certainly good news, we just want Cookie back to his best and Robert Lambert as our under 21 reserve and that would be a pretty good team.
