  1. Maybe I will but my comments were based on those of a leading journalist and an interview with a rider who seemed to know about and accept the situation. As we've seen before though, minds can be changed.
  2. That's about the strength the Premiership will be next year, so three clubs can afford to move up and three NL clubs can afford to move into the Championship. Either that or several clubs pack up now! Look at the empty terraces and face reality.
  3. You can't scrap the BSPA, they own the sport in this country and I can't imagine them putting the control of their investments into someone else's hands. There are plans to reduce rider standards in order to reduce costs, the grumblers on here are already moaning that admission prices should be reduced as a consequence but that would simply defeat the object. I can see the sport going semi-pro eventually but I think it'll continue.
  4. The Championship won't have teams to that strength next year.
  5. They have already had several meetings about it, It'll be two leagues, the upper about the current Championship strength and the lower below that. Current levels are unsustainable with the crowd and sponsorship levels.
  6. I think team average will be more like 32-5 next year.
  7. Saw a heat and the final on Twitter, it didn't exactly look like a big crowd.
  8. "Dumbing down" is certain for next year, the plan being to have ten Premiership sides at about the Current Championship level and a Much reduced Championship average, with probably three national league sides moving up.
  9. Not having been there, I have no idea whether he was blameless, incompetent or evil. The general opinion seems to be that he was to blame but I made no mention of him or the incident.
  10. So he suffered multiple fractures did he?
  11. Yet the Premiership is now actively trying to entice several Championship clubs to fortify it's rather pathetic current number. I wouldn't be surprised if fixed race nights are abandoned and the current strength of Championship clubs becomes the new top level, as Championship sides reduce their maximum averages even further. You have to go with what pays, which means going with their most successful race night/day for all clubs.
  12. Irrespective of what happened to Bewley, if a rider starts thinking about not taking any risks he should be stopping at home.... Then again, you're only guessing anyway.
  13. Well it hardly matters now, after further information came to light.
  14. He wasn't quoted as saying that in the text I read, If you're right I apologise.
  15. I certainly think the third tier needs to prioritise the development of young or new riders, there are far too many professionals making a career out of something that was never meant to be like that.
  16. I was saying that one big league could work. "A top league no more costly than the current championship" would certainly be a good idea but some clubs wont go for that. I think whatever happens will just be papering over the cracks anyway.
  17. I think it could work if the averages were such that the poorer clubs could afford a team that fits them, the richer clubs might tempt more up and coming likely improvers but that happens now. As things are, you're going to get more clubs risking their long-term future through trying to compete, apart from one or two tracks, you walk into the stadium and there's no one there! Delusions of grandeur are allowing the Sport to disintegrate.
  18. It showed a photo on Twitter and it looked to be deep in sawdust.
