  1. Of course he's a director! I already posted a list of promoters and directors.
  2. From their website..... Promoters: Kevin Keay and Jitendra Duffill Directors: Eric Gladders, Chris Van Straaten, Brian Gladders
  3. Do you mean Kevin Keay? He is co-promoter. It does say on the Redcar supporters forum that people have been enquiring about season tickets for next year, there is no mention of closure.
  4. Your supercilious attitude precludes debate.
  5. You start off by giving an opinion and then claim it to be fact. It can't be fact because you can't say with certainty that Tai (who I greatly admire) is better than Brian Crutcher or Jack Parker or others. He can't race them under the conditions that they raced and neither can they race him today. He will certainly be the most successful (I hope) but that isn't necessarily a measure of him being the best.
  6. Does winning the most titles make him the best British rider ever? Does winning any titles make you the best ever? It's all a matter of opinion really as you can't accurately compare different eras.
  7. I think the difference is that F1 is even more dependent on the car, almost any of the drivers could be champion in the right car, while Speedway hasn't quite got to that yet, even though it's gone a long way down that road.
  8. I only watch any sports if there are Brits in them, I think all the major countries would feel the same way, this is why they reserved the right to have wildcards, to spread the representation. I agree that ideally you would have the best sixteen in the world but that'll never be.
  9. If he was joining Poole under current averages he would be number one, that is fact. It could be argued that the Poole track (which has a very bad reputation) would offer a bigger home advantage than Belle Vue, which is loved by most riders. When you consider Bewley's age and experience, his rise is truly remarkable. Anyway, isn't this supposed to be about Robert Lambert?
  10. Well the aforementioned R Lambert rides in it.
  11. Rybnik, league1. Bridger had issues other than his riding ability.
  12. I think Bewley already has, he does well in Poland too.
  13. It isn't part of the promoters conference (it has it's own), so it isn't really part of this debate, nobody thinks it doesn't exist.
  14. In other words It'll be more of a meaningless circus and less of a sport.
  15. It's a World Championship, not a Polish one. Although with four riders and three rounds you might sometimes wonder.
  16. Yet their stockcar crowds are much bigger and subsidise the Speedway.
  17. On the other hand, why would Woffinden want to ride at Wolves? He claimed that he has more accidents on British tracks, then there is the money thing, why ride here for a fraction of what you get there? It's true that some riders like to keep very busy but some of the top names seem quite happy riding elsewhere. With regard to Iversen, I don't think he has done anything like as well as expected.
  18. Well it's slowly finishing itself anyway and if the richer clubs won't compromise, there'll be more of the same.
  19. Possibly so but we need a competition where all clubs can assemble a team within their financial capabilities.
  20. How about a handicap system, sign who you like but if a team has a 50 point average and their opponents have 40, the opponents get 10 points added to their final score?
