  1. Erm, the Bears are top! and Diamonds fifth............It will probably change soon though :-)
  2. You make it sound as if he's a first time offender.
  3. At Mildenhall (and probably elsewhere) he was looked upon as someone who didn't hide from his past, and who turned his life around. No matter what anyone thinks to the seriousness of his crime, he can never be looked on in the same way again.
  4. I think some people are missing the point. GB have no chance of winning, so why not blood some up and coming improving riders? Cook and Worrall would be top of my list, Harris has the experience both as a rider and an advisor, Woffinden will keep the score respectable. Kennett (and he's not alone) is a proven flop, and very unlikely to improve to WC level. I would have picked Barker ahead of Kennett, at least you would get 100% effort from him.
  5. Would you have picked Edward Kennett? Personally, I don't think he is international class. The British team have no chance of winning the thing but we have some very good prospects coming along, they need experience at this level, much as the Danes have done recently. My choice would have been Worrall (surely a big future) or Barker (guaranteed effort). But who would YOU have picked?
  6. I won't fall to your level again. I explained myself to those who asked.
  7. Wouldn't they need to drop one of the five pointers as well?
  8. You are right! But I replied to a reply to my own post, only to be told (by a third party) that I had to move on!If one can't reply to things, It's a poor show! I do apologise if anyone but the intended recipient was offended.
  9. The ultimate last night. The Eurosport Pairs Meeting. Czech's had a guest who wasn't a Czech! How can Speedway expect to be taken seriously?
  10. The material used has more clay than it used to have, It is less porous than the stuff we used to have. It is more prone to ruts which lead to problems with directional stability. Tracks these days are often smaller than those of the past and that leads to harder turning and more potential damage. This is all combined with higher revving bikes with shallower treaded tyres and riders demanding tracks that make turning as easy as possible.
  11. What about FOAMFENCES! or that fence at Rye which Leaping Len claims is better than an air fence?
  12. On form, he's a very good rider (probably better than Karlsson), but in the last five years how many complete seasons has he ridden? That must be a consideration when anyone contemplates team changes. Anyway, good luck to him, hopefully he'll have a trouble free run now and make the hoped for transition to international class rider that he's been so close to in the past.
  13. But Sandhu claims to have other offers on the table, what plans are they likely to have?
  14. What spoilt it for me was Robson insisting he was being treated unfairly and every time you could plainly see him drop the clutch before the tapes moved.
  15. I agree, the woman on Sky asks the daftest and often unanswerable questions. Coverage was good but the track preparation was a disgrace, you would think they would have learned by now.
  16. They are just enthusiastic beginners.
  17. If they had, Bernt Persson would still be paying the fines.
  18. http://www.speedwaygb.co/issues13/pl13_dec_12.pdf Really? Are these figures wrong then?
