  1. If Poole pick him they will very likely end up with someone else near or at the bottom of the list.
  2. If you want to retain the protected status you have to say so before the picks, there are four protected status riders, they are limited to the first pick section whatever happens. If Poole drop his status and nobody else picks him, he's out.
  3. They have to declare beforehand if they want to retain the protected status that he has, otherwise the rider becomes available to others, protected riders are limited to the first round of picks.
  4. No, because Newman is then available for anyone else to pick and protected riders can only be in the first round of picks.
  5. From today's newspaper.(Swindon Advertiser). The Advertiser understands four riders, Newman (Poole), Kerr (King’s Lynn), Adam Ellis (Lakeside) and Ashley Morris (Wolverhampton) are protected, meaning their parent clubs have first call on their services - but only in the first round of the draft. Coventry are set to get first pick in round one due to the fact they finished bottom of the league with the Robins going third last behind play-off finalists Birmingham and Poole. The team with the lowest ranked rider at the end of round one will choose first in the second round.
  6. I think Worrall might go a bit further north. Good list though, It'll be interesting to see how many are right.
  7. I see, That's a change from the initial statement then.
  8. The riders are allocated, the clubs don't get to "pick", consideration IS being given to riders contracts and their locality.
  9. Wrong on all counts! With the possible exception of the age. Why don't you concentrate on those who are more receptive to your "talents"? You encouraged others to follow you out of supporting British Speedway, is that a sample of your "marketing"? Can't get what you want so throw your toys out the pram? What you really are is a supercilious control freak. I wont waste any more time on you, I'm too busy looking forward to and planning to support what promises to be an exciting and interesting season.
  10. I've often thought that of you. Doubtless your nonsense will continue, just because you didn't get what you wanted.
  11. Seeing as you have declared that you're not going to Elite league Speedway any more and that you are going to travel to Poland to watch meetings, shouldn't you now be on the Polish forums? This really isn't anything to do with you any more, is it? I don't tell Poles or Swedes or whatever, what to do. To be honest, I'm not that interested in them, I am interested in the 2014 proposals for the Elite league, I like the idea of more fixtures, more continuity and more Brits. I wish it well and am prepared to support it and give it a fair go.
  12. More fixtures, more continuity and more Brits. That is a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. You are obviously a glass half empty man. Anyway those that I'm aware of are keen to have a go at it, I doubt there will be many (if any) who turn down the chance.
  13. Find two more! It's not rocket science FFS! I know one rider who declined the offer until Phil had explained it all to him, that prompted a change of mind.
  14. There is a list compiled which has more than twenty names on it, if you decline the offer of a place the next guy gets the offer, it's all explained in the Speedway Star.
  15. Those riders have other options if you fail to satisfy their requirements, but the new points limit and only five places available and more fixtures all seem to be having that effect as the number or big earners is reduced.
  16. No, he is contacted and offered the opportunity, the club doesn't know who it's going to get, the odds are that Lambert will go to Kings Lynn, seeing as he signed for them before the end of last season.
  17. Why, they are allocated the riders, so it isn't as if they can offer a tempter?
  18. In that case there's no chance. I can't imagine anyone wanting to invest in Peterborough after their huge financial losses over every single season. I would have thought Tony Mole might be interested in Sheffield, it would be a better option than hanging on in the hope of getting going at Odsal.
  19. That's all supposition and maybe's, they have taken steps to address the current problems. They aren't necessarily reducing the quality of the racing , everyone reckons that PL racing is more interesting and exciting than EL, but in most cases the riders are of a lower ranking. I see that you appear to support Poole, don't judge the other clubs by their standards, most other clubs have less crowds, lower potential catchment areas and are totally inaccessible to anyone who doesn't have their own transport. Anyway I'll let you have the last word, or is it "moan"?
