I think that as there is no chance of winning it, we would be better looking at a long term strategy. There are some riders who have constantly failed year after year, I see no point in picking them simply because they might currently be top of the averages. So I would ignore the failures and stick with some new blood for the next few years. I would demand that Robert Lambert decides whether he is British or not now, if he says no, so be it. Obviously Tai is in and Cookie. I would have a squad of maybe Barker, both Worralls, R Lambert, Garrity, Blackbird, Starke and any others who show promise and I would use that squad for all international matches, even letting them take on EL teams or continental league teams. They might lose a lot of matches but something might come of it, nothing will come of Bridger, Kennett, Harris or King.

I think the difference between Nicki and those he is complaining about, is that they sometimes have accidents due to close and hard racing. He on the other hand seems to either lose his head or allow desperation to affect him.
