  1. Bjerre is a very nice surprise and well capable of improving his already impressive average.
  2. I'm pretty sure that a side of young hopefuls would pull more in than some of the riders they've had recently, crowds are down because people have no hope. If the consortium is exactly as you say (I only knew Brian and it was in his grass tracking days)then the Bears are nothing more than a circus act. It seems pointless carrying on if you aren't prepared to compete.
  3. You must be a proud mummy :-) Actually I'd like to see him at Redcar if the rest of the side was strong enough to give him a bit of time.
  4. I know that but it would be nice to have a challenging side, rather than cast-off's. It's very doubtful that they'd get him anyway, unless a third party was prepared to bankroll him, Havelock certainly wouldn't spend more than the bare minimum on riders, even if he had it.
  5. Well Worrall might add a bit more fight and hope than that bunch, can't say much about Roynon, he's always on the sick.
  6. You have to want it and he doesn't seem to want it enough. If he has the urge to come back within a year, he could just have his head in gear and actually be a better rider.
  7. Well I'm on there as well, so I'll be looking out for more pearls of wisdom from you.
  8. If it's not much better than the Premier, how come said Mr Cook and his double-up chums have such different averages between the two leagues?
  9. He'd probably boost the gate, whether you went or not.
  10. He'd get in at Redcar, Newcastle or Edinburgh I should think.
  11. Oh I don't know, they've let Wilkinson go, which must rank as a positive.
  12. Looks like 'sicknote' didn't get a pick.
  13. If I had first choice and that was the situation, I would go for Blackbird above Auty, Roynon or Birks.
  14. Last year you called me a troll and a hater for saying Glasgow had a rubbish team (they had!), this year they look better already, whoever the last two are. Too early to say that it's a championship challenging side but it's definitely better.
  15. Sorry! We'll have to disagree and leave it at that.
  16. All the clubs involved did agree to it, they might not have in another case.
  17. I think if you accept the draft you have to abide by the draw. The principle of the thing is to give riders with potential more chances and experiences. What you describe will create opportunities for trickery, eg 'you stop at home sonny and we'll get X rider in for the day,' I know there has already been abuse of that kind but this seems to make it even more likely.
  18. I'd prefer the situation where ALL the riders involved still had improvement potential. Surely that's what it's meant to be about?
  19. Carl Wilkinson FFS! They might as well pick Boocock, Boothroyd and Younghusband. On the other hand, if you enter the draft you are declaring your availability.
  20. If you listen to the link I posted, it does say that riders such as Lawson and Richie Worrall will be on much higher rates than draft riders and any draft rider offered a place in a main body, is free to take it.
  21. Others move up! The list won't exist until they have all accepted, they don't go on it until they have been asked. http://www.speedway365.com/archives/11851
  22. They either accept the offer or they don't.
