Yes, I think he would have protested very loudly if he didn't want to go along with it. He seemed to agree terms and sign up very quickly. You have no proof otherwise, just as those saying that Brian Havelock intends to abandon Redcar. I should think his most likely move would be to offer it to Gary.

He did actually spend about six seasons at the height of his career riding in NZ and not riding here, Briggo and Ivan certainly didn't. One has to wonder if Mr Bunyan (the great adoptee) might get a mention ;-)

If it becomes the next 'required' item, there might well be a lot bankrupting themselves to buy a few. You know what they're like, if a few GP riders get them, they will become the required steed even down to MDL level.

In Martin Dugard's statement when Eastbourne's entry into the league was announced, he states that it is his intention to "make stars", so far he seems to have signed riders who are career National Leaguers. Obviously there will be other signings and the new minimum start average means that you can't start with a team of beginners. So we'll all see what the final line-up is and hopefully it'll be a lot nearer to what he said, than it is now. Don't make daft assumptions about what people might say to someone's face, you really don't know and this IS a forum where people are allowed to express their opinion.

The format is to be different next season, so some riders who gained last season might well produce a different set of figures next time.
