Gary Havelock hasn't made Scott Nicholls a better rider in the GP's tho!! I understand your point but I don't think anyone can improve a rider. Perhaps Middlo should go but I would put my mortgage on the fact he's replacement wouldn't do any better. Even more so than in regular speedway it's purely down to the individuals. Team GB fall well short of the mark unfortunately.

Thats impossible!! Riders either have the ability or don't. It's possible in football to get 11 average players to function well as a team but in SWC its every rider for themselves. No speedway manager can work miracles!!!

Cheat?? If he's rolling just enough to get away with it then thats intelligent in my opinion. Its up to the referee's to stop the rolling starts. If their not competent enough to notice rolling then thats not Crumpies fault. Loads of riders do it and will continue to do it unless its clamped down on. Blame the Ref, not the riders!!!

Exactly!! Infact Crumpie probably did them all a favour by coming off, because at least the Aussie's didn't have to have the slap in the face of standing on the podium whilst the Danes all hugged each other and the 2nd and 3rd teams pretended they were happy to be there!!!

True, Crumpie has a suspect temperment however hes always been more consistent than Gollob, hence we dont see his bad temper so often. Gollob can be brilliant (like he has been through the world cup) however he can be crap at other times. And when things are not going hes way he sulks!! Thats why he will never be a world champion.

I dont think anyone has ever doubted Gollobs talent as a speedway rider. However because of his tempremental attitude he will never be a world champion. Fact!!!!!!

Several posters have suggested that foreign riders should be reduced/or sadled with high averages. But Why? Foreign riders are better than british ones(sad but true ). If you look at the young poles, swedes, aussis etc, etc. They are more advanced than the british riders of a similar age. Why i dont know, but its an issue that needs addressing. It would however be unfair for promising young foreign talent to miss out because teams are being forced into riding dodgy british youngsters, in the faint hope that they will one day be a world champion
