Mildenhall Fen Tigers V Young Lions U21 - Sunday 21st May 4pm
Bolt replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
THB on Jacobs, he will not be race fit at all, therefore glad this lad has finally been given a chance to ride. -
Would Jacobs get a reduction and fit in or still to high? Rode Redcar well last year?? Just a thought.
-
There has always been something iffy within the Ipswich camp over recent years and its happened to numerous riders. One minute the riders are riding well for Ipswich, then they somehow get demotivated and the team seems divided? Signing riders is one thing but the real skill is how the management, particularly 'CL' where Ipswich is concerned, are going to get the best out of there 1-7 in a fair and consistent manner.
-
And that's before we start on the rule book!
-
The sport is crazy, on one hand there are R/R and guests, then guests getting injuried while guesting. Then on the other hand, riders with no teams not even being asked or able to guest...you couldn't make it up!
-
And Joe Jacobs, the list is getting longer
-
I feel for Sarj too but I would like to think if BV wanted to pick riders without any clubs at all, they may consider previous BV riders such as Stefan and Joe Jacobs who also do not have a single club either. It just shows how successful the fast tracking idea lasted for.
-
I think Belle Vue will need to think carefully about Jacobs, either sign him or be prepared for other clubs to use him as a guest against them at Belle Vue.......
-
And why do you think Boxall isn't riding?
-
Jacobs is being mentioned on Eastbourne link, no reason why he couldn't be in the mix for Kent?
-
Jacobs never left the sport, just took a year out. His a bargain on that average.

What would Robert Lambert's avg be if he done PL?

Peterborough V Workington 9/9

Really enjoyed both meetings last night though petrified at times! The racing was breath taking at times so well done to all riders! -

I read that as Joe was prepared to miss Mildenhall meetings for Peterborough, therefore showing how committed he was to the Panthers. Joe left Mildenhall last year to ride for Glasgow to move to the next level because both clubs were Sunday tracks, so it wouldn't make sense if it was the other way round now. The lad is clearly showing how much in wants a PL club by the distance he is prepared to travel, Glasgow now Workington. Max has been brought in to strengthen the team a bit regardless what we think of this change. -
I just don't understand why, we as fans and promoters, have no patients in young brits improving slowing... baring in mind Ollie was in his first year and jacobs in his second year. Yet its ok for jonny foreigners who are now aged 25, been in the PL what 2 or 3 years and its fine? Then add in the extra cost to fly these riders in, it just doesn't make sense? And we wonder why there are problems with British Speedway....?

I think Hall will do well but will go for an Ipswich win here
-
Hall = 6.44, Adam = 6.30 & Max 4.22 Jacobs =4.00 so yes
-
To be fair, RocketBen 1 mentioned British and not Jacobs direct. It doesn't matter which one you want to refer to, if Peterborough wanted Greenwood they would have made that change but they didn't. The fact Rockben is making is another rubbish foreigner has filled that reserve place.

I have to agree with most posts that the new changers are not very inspiring and Dilger is the oddest one. What average will Dilger come in on, does anyone know?
-
No idea about averages but how about seeing if Nick Simmons could fill the post. Feel for Stoke and don't really understand how Stefan was able to double up when he was called up for Rye House. I am sure I am missing the obvious
-
Safe meeting for both teams. Should be a Mildy win but I think Buxton are capable of giving it their all and getting a win too.

Panthers Vs Plymouth - Koc 1st Leg (03/06/14)
Bolt replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Jacobs is 20 years old and Blackbird has proved that you can still make it at 27 and he started orginally in 2006???? Paul Stark is another that has been up and down making that step up into PL and this year is finally holding his own and his what 23/24? British speedway needs a future at all levels and the lad is still improving every year and unlike some of the more experienced riders still riding at the easier position of number 7, this lad isn't his riding the tough position of 6. Since Adam Ellis has stepped into the number 6 position his scores have dropped. I hope Peterborough stick with both Jacobs and Greenwood because there are plenty of easier teams to come and hopefully our number 1 will be scoring better then also. Cookie is a GB rider and those type of riders come in few numbers, if your looking for these then you will not find many and he was no teenager when he switched to speedway. -
I don't know Crump99 but I do find your comments very dry and to the point and find myself clucking! Keep it up!
