  1. It’s my understanding that they would become available. Gladiators will be paying close attention to both of these fixtures I suggest
  2. I agree Alfie. Passions have run high these past few weeks, let’s all just take a few minutes and just go back to getting behind our respective clubs who do great work and have had great seasons
  3. Skidder has got us started on the second leg so why not get this going for the first leg eh? Hans hopefully back, Nicholls available again, find out tomorrow reference Barker…
  4. Everyone wants the best for their team and they are entitled to defend their club. There’s obviously the element of freedom of speech which should be maintained however there’s also a line which I feel shouldn’t be crossed and when emotions run high, as they have done recently with everything that is getting thrown around, sadly one or two posts seem to be crossing that line and that’s what I referred to earlier which is a shame.
  5. Fingers crossed for better weather Mike, that’s all we can wish for at this stage I think.
  6. I’d just like to point out, in the interest of fairness, we aren’t all showing animosity on this forum. I for one, wouldn’t do that, I’m happy to defend my club and offer my opinion on something but I won’t ever show animosity
  7. Already confirmed via Poole’s Facebook that the meeting will now be held next Wednesday (14th). All pre-booked tickets will be automatically refunded
  8. As I’ve mentioned in my post a little earlier, it’s very sad to see such animosity on here. Both clubs are very well supported by some excellent fans and whilst we are all partisan and want our team to succeed, it’s a shame to see people act in this way
  9. He was due to guest for us against Glasgow at home. I’d suggest it’s a case of him managing his workload having heard an interview from him last week
  10. Yeah so next Tuesday is likely to be a 12,000+ crowd at the Football but I’d still be confident if the weather holds out there’ll be a good crowd at the Colosseum just sadly I won’t be there Hans should be back, Nicholls will be utilised I’d imagine then it all depends on the barker situation, find out tomorrow I guess
  11. I’ve sat back and observed what’s been said on this thread and similar things sad on the one for last night and it’s a shame really. Both clubs have had excellent season but there’s so much animosity. I didn’t comment on the Gladiators side tonight because I just wanted all the riders to get back safe. I was relieved that we were even able to get 6 riders let alone their ability! It’s a shame tonight’s meeting is now off. I know there were quite a few Gladiator’s who were either already in Poole or well on their way there. These things happen unfortunately and I hope they all get home safely, same goes for the Pirate fans who are travelling around in that horrible weather. Time to rest up and get ready for next Tuesday, sadly I’ll be missing it due to an already arranged prior engagement at Argyle v Oxford United although, the seven day forecast leaves a lot to be desired once again. Let’s see what the weekend brings us.
  12. Does this mean we are going to have a third thread open before we get a first leg staged in this fixture?
  13. Whilst I totally agree with your point regarding the forecasts, this was one I think the club got correct and although it could’ve ended differently, we were always going to get some appreciable rain over the last 24hrs which would’ve rendered the track un-raceable Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. I do understand your point though
  14. Why was this one ridiculous though? Plymouth has had yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms (all of which have been accurate if you check the current situation around the city with localised flooding etc) for the last three days… I’d say this was a sensible and fair assessment
  15. Yeah I’ve been scouring forums and various pages all day but can’t seem to find anything? As I said a moment ago, perhaps with this now being the first leg, Mark and Garry are trying to get a reasonably competitive side with the riders left, perhaps Batchelor will turn out for this one?
  16. I’d suggest with this being the first leg now, that notion has left the building hence perhaps the delay in announcing a side?
  17. Poole's visit to Plymouth, originally arranged for Tuesday 6th September has been postponed, due to weather conditions. With rain and a bad forecast prevailing the meeting has been called-off and rescheduled to next Tuesday, 13th September. Poole are still due to host the Gladiators on Wednesday (7th) night, in what will now be the first leg of the Quarter Final play-off.

  19. I trust this is just to get a bite from the original comment but nowhere does the poster blame Poole…
