It's got a better ring to it than 'Voice Of The Brainwashed'.....that clearly fits some others. Where were her taxes from 1952-1993? Lost in the post? And at 90, 'still working'. Do you honestly call her lifestyle - 'work'? Where were her taxes from 1952-1993? Lost in the post? And at 90, 'still working'. Do you honestly call her lifestyle - 'work'?

Became the Queen in 1952. Started paying tax in 1993. 41 years of tax avoidance. Not bad, eh? Anyone else would have been banged up. And meanwhile, her 'loyal citizens' are supposed to look up in awe at this mob? Don't make me laugh. Stick them all on a zero hours contract. Let them have to scrimp and save to pay a private landlord. Let them have to go to the bottom of an ever-increasing NHS waiting list. Let their offspring have to be amongst the 25% of kids being forced to live below the poverty line. The ever-increasing divide between the rich and the poor within our society is nothing short of sickening and despicable.

If you had bothered to read the initial post, it referred to 'making laws' and 'telling us what to do'. They certainly appear frequently doing the latter. Unelected. Tax-dodged for years. Yet continue to increase their wealth as the ruling elite of a Nation: wherein 1 in 4 children are living in abject poverty. Bin 'em!

It's rare to hear a Spanish voice in Benidorm; or a Portuguese voice around The Algarve - particularly this time of year (and thereafter until the end of March). And your point is? Well those waiting for the £350 Million coming back into our economy/NHS (possibly you included) are going to have a bleedin' long wait!

Maybe it's because most of us are more concerned with Speedway RACING rather than a ridiculous incident involving someone throwing his toys out of the pram? Maybe football coverage would focus on it more Steve - let's be honest, it would probably be about the most exciting thing to happen over the course of 90 minutes. Well done to Sky in my book for not detracting from the entertainment of the meeting. As for the incident itself......I remember bigger rucks in my school playground. Ignore it. Move on. Get racing!

A superb effort from Belle Vue; on a track that is a credit to British Speedway. Congratulations Wolves upon lifting the title. Well done to both teams for putting on a great display - proving that if the sport is promoted correctly; and delivered on a track conducive to exciting, fair racing AND with no 'guests' or R/R; then there may actually be a future for British Speedway. Fantastic to see PK go out in style. You have been a loyal servant to British Speedway over decades. I don't think there can be a true Speedway fan anywhere that does not hold you in high esteem. And thank you so very much for your efforts and contribution for Lakeside - whilst we had you on temp loan for a few seasons. You always gave it 100% for us; but it was great to see Monmore's Prodigal Son return to his true home. To see PK finish last night on such a high was tremendous to watch - but even more importantly, it was oh so richly deserved given his loyal, fair and honest contribution to this sport.

We all know how the Reserve positions are absolutely vital in today's EL. To this end, and having watched Jacobs and Worrall ride the big, pacy NSC, there's every opportunity for them to hit two 5-1's in the reserve heats. If that's the case, there's potentially 8 points nailed on towards the deficit straight away. Undoubtedly Belle Vue have to climb a mountain; but it's not impossible to grab a win. Best of luck to both teams tonight. Despite the rhetoric from Dorset, this meeting could be very entertaining. Edited: Because the forum doesn't allow the word 'S na tch'. My Lord......I haven't seen that word used since the days of Mary Millington!!!!

Meanwhile elsewhere..... Fraud & Lapdog: "Hello, is that the hospital? We'd like to come and visit Antonio. When are visiting hours?" Nurse: "8." Fraud & Lapdog: "Can you make it 7?" Anyway, congratulations Wolverhampton Speedway for renewing my faith in humanity and justice. On behalf of speedway fans across the UK (outside of Little England Dorset)........BRILLIANT RESULT!

A couple? Really? A couple? I'm quite sure that if Kev could be bothered archiving your 'contributions' it would be somewhat more than 'a couple'. Nevertheless, it begs the question why you came onto the forum anyway? Afterall, and as pointed out by others to you on there more than once, for you to contribute therein; having vehemently supported the initial forum's closure is, as I've already alluded to, sheer hypocrisy. There was even a poll asking whether guests should be able to contribute - particularly given your patronising comments re: number of members/posters. I see that your most recent post here again pours scorn upon something which appears to be a useful medium for others. Just for the record, I voted they should be able to. I believe in freedom of speech. So getting this thread back onto some sort of track, who was 'The Mystery Pole'......we're still waiting to find out. And with the club's desire to adopt alternative social media, was it not possible to communicate this? In the same way, why couldn't Jon say why he 'wasn't available' for the Coventry Meeting - that left an inexperienced guy such as Paul Hurry as manager? You see Bryn, therein seems to be the problem - as you like quoting old songs within your (useful) weather updates, how about "There are more questions than answers". You'll note there are an increasing number of folk asking the same. Many even go to meetings......and pay to get in.
-
Who was the 'mystery Pole then Bryn? Oh, and by the way, there are an increasing number of people both on here; and The Lakeside forum; who are asking a myriad of very similar questions about the club - Jon in particular. Ahhhh yes - the 'outdated' medium 'The Lakeside Forum' that apparently nobody used - yet upon it's rebirth, and until recently you occasionally trolled as a 'guest' - pseudonym being 'The Welshman'? Your sheer hypocrisy is truly laughable.

I couldn't personally give a tupp'ney toss about what people's names are on here.......and no doubt the vast majority of us feel the same way. But that said, and talking of names, I'd still like Mr. Cook to tell us the name of the 'mystery Polish rider' that was due to have been booked for the 1st leg last Friday - before he opted for the cheap option of R/R. Because a number of us now believe that, as no 'name' has been forthcoming, he was simply talking out of his @rse......and not for the first time this season.

"Oh, the sheer irony of it all!" Hope there's no stones in your glass house. -

What utter garbage! So to substantiate your rhetoric, you refer to a forum that's now inaccesible. How convenient. Again, I totally refute your allegation that I insulted Neil's Wife. That is a downright lie. And when it came to posting about the lack of results Neil delivered as team manager, I was most certainly not alone! So the previous Lakeside forum was closed partly due to my posts. Really? Considering that it was run by the club, it wouldn't have been easier (fairer to others?) to have simply banned me and to have subsequently removed my posts? Added to which the vast majority of my contribution was extremely supportive. Indeed, I'd often get criticism from other contributors for being overly upbeat and positive! Something you appear to have conveniently overlooked? We all know why the previous forum was closed. It was because someone overly self-righteous at Lakeside Speedway Club does not like listening, or reading, criticism. And as you also will know only too well, I was not alone on some occasions. And apparently the reason given by Mr. Cook for its closure was simply because it was an outdated form of communication compared to Social Media such as Twitter and Facebook. Are you suggesting that our management were lying then? As for the term 'Coach'.....this may help you (taken from a major sports website - I'll PM you the link if you want): The Role of the Sports Coach The role of the coach is not just coaching! Sports coaches assist athletes in developing to their full potential. They are responsible for training athletes in a sport by analyzing their performances, instructing in relevant skills and by providing encouragement. But you are also responsible for the guidance of the athlete in life and their chosen sport. Have a nice day!
