  1. Nope - he actually makes me chuckle at times with his comments. This forum is often quite boring without his input - irrespective of the fact that most of it is like reading something a 10 year-old would come out with.
  2. To be fair mate, there's probably a lot of Panthers Supporters that would love to post on here, but are just to embarrassed to be associated with the MJJ stalker (especially as he now admits he supports Tottenham)!
  3. "If their is no Michael, I have lost all hope" - BUT HE/SHE/IT IS NOW GOING TO FOCUS ON SUPPORTING TOTTENHAM. A TRUE JJR CLASSIC...........QUOTE OF THE YEAR!!!!! :) "He is the one rider I have built a emotional relationship with" - BUTUNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU, IT WASN'T MUTUAL, AND HAS APPARENTLY LED TO YOU BEING GIVEN A HARRASSMENT RESTRAINING ORDER "He is not like other riders who are their just to earn money". QUITE RIGHT ON THAT ONE. HE WAS ALSO AFTER A FREE VAN AS WELL. "He doesn't need to ride for the Panthers as he is earning tons of money over in Poland,Sweden and Denmark but he actually chooses to ride in the UK". WHEN HE ISN'T PULLING SICKIES TWO WEEKS BEFORE A MEETING YOU MEAN? "but more importantly he chose to ride for us and he rejected tons of clubs to join us and that's why I have so much respect for him." REALLY RESPECT HIM? FOR FAILING TO TURN UP 25% OF THE TIME, DOESN'T IN REALITY GIVE A TOSS ABOUT PETERBOROUGH, AND IN ALL PROBABILITY CAN'T BE ASSED TO RETURN TO THE SHOWGROUND IN 2013? You are a funny chap at times JJR.
  4. To be honest, I couldn't give a tuppenny toss about Speedway in Poland, nor how riders perform there. My only concern is how they ride whilst wearing the claret & blue, within the UK.
  5. Bridger isn't an Eastbourne Rider. Keep up........we're not waiting for you.
  6. Skidder............I was joshing mate! Still, it didn't stop 'The Peterborough Princess' from liking the post.
  7. That statement actually borders upon libel. Just for the record, this track has been entirely funded, and built, by the Promotion of Lakeside Speedway Club. If I was Jon Cook, then I'd have a solicitor writing to the owner of this forum to obtain details of your ISP address, before taking legal action, if I'm totally honest.
  8. I'm proud to be a supporter of the Lakeside Hammers. Unlike most other promotions, ours don't just sit on their arses doing nothing, or constantly spout rhetoric that they think people want to hear in front of the Sky cameras, or within their programme notes, about developing English riders. Stuart Douglas and Jon Cook have actually done something about it - fair play to them. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!
  9. I think people are missing something here. If you have a rider contracted to you, then you can claim a fee for having your asset 'on loan' to another club, or obviously an even higher payment if you sell him completely. It's therefore money in the bank for doing sod all.
  10. Michael just called me to say he won't be there - he's getting his van resprayed before he sells it.
  11. Might have agreed with you prior to Rico's meeting. Best I've ever seen him ride. 9 might be stretching it but I think he could hit the 8 mark.
  12. Should have put a Sat Nav in it - with the home address as The East of England Showground. He might have found his way to you more often.
  13. PM me mate - I can send you the actual programme if you want it.
  14. Maybe, but it does help if they can be bothered turning up in the first place.
  15. Feels great actually. Maybe due to the fact that Watty not only increased his average, as already mentioned, he also became our skipper, and has publicly stated that Lakeside is the first Speedway team that he's ridden for where he feels valued. And do you know something else? He turns out for us more than 75% of the time - because he's LOYAL!
  16. Post of the day Steve. Just to add, I know who'd be at the front of the queue with his tongue hanging out!
  17. In contrast, nothing stopped Rob Mear from riding mate - despite having three serious accidents last season and looking well beaten up with back, wrist and knee injuries. It also didn't stop Watty riding in absolute agony with kidney pains. But then they were doing it because they were committed to their TEAM, and they were doing it for RICO.
  18. TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE? Are Rick Frost and Trevor Swales psychic then? Pull the other one. I don't for one minute doubt Jensen's ability BUT if you honestly think he's a good team player for the Panthers, then you genuinely need psychiatric assistance.
  19. Oh, really? Is that the back injury that Bomber was booked in a fortnight in advance to cover, before Jensen 'pulled a sickie' 24 hours before the meeting? Doubt it? Then call Bomber a liar because that's what he told me when my son was getting his autograph, and I asked why he hadn't guested for Lakeside that night! Closing down? Peterborough? Surely not. I thought you said on here, just a few weeks back, how many thousands of supporters that The Showground attracts?
  20. On hindsight, I'd actually prefer to have Lewis at Lakeside, rather than lose a talented Brit to the sport for good. Hopefully, he has matured. Cookie could man-manage him no doubt and the Hagon sponsorship may just re-materialise. But the crux of the matter is that he rode his nuts off to win Rico's meeting, and looked pretty exceptional. He DOES have a lot of ability and potentially still some untapped talent. He may have made mistakes in the past, but come on! Were all of us on this forum completely 'whiter than white' during our youth? I know I certainly wasn't! Or did we all make mistakes, that we later regretted and learnt from as we matured? So I take back what I said on the Lakeside 2013 post. If becoming a HAMMER gives Lewis a final chance, then good luck to him. I'm beginning to think he wouldn't let us down after all, and may just be the sort of bloke we are looking for.
  21. Bridger or Kennett? Thanks, but no thanks. One is a Chav, and the other a Cheat. Don't know too much about what influence Dave Kennett has but clearly Custer Mouse knows enough about this bloke - he sounds one nasty little individual. Don't get too carried away by Bridger's performance in Rico's meeting. After all, hasn't Nicholls looked the real deal at our track, until it comes to pulling on a HAMMERS race jacket? The bottom line is that both of these riders suffer from inconsistency. That's bad enough in the lower orders of a team. You can't afford inconsistency with a heat leader, well not if you are serious about beating that mob from Dorset, and not to mention picking up those often elusive away points. Add to this the fact Watty has ongoing kidney problems. Don't want to tempt fate but don't these have a history of recurring? With a couple of our other riders being a risk, well in my book anyway, I think that bringing in either of these two riders into a heat leader role would be a big mistake.
  22. Just to add, and I have to ask here, as Lakeside don't appear to have a Forum, but isn't it about time that our website was updated to end the speculation on whether Ritchie, Justin, PK and Watty have signed for us and will definitely be HAMMERS next season? The last update on the site was a fortnight ago. And what happened to the Hammerzine - there doesn't seem to have been one since MAY. That's an absolute joke. Either the club can't be bothered updating the Hammers faithful or our marketing bloke called Ian Smally on our website, is sitting on his a*se and doing bugger all. He is listed on our website as our marketing manager but what does he do exactly? I have very few negative things to say about our club but our communications and marketing are absolute pants. Come on Cookie or Duggo, please get someone in who is up for doing the job properly and can actually be bothered updating us with stuff!
  23. Fair points Custer Mouse, particularly about Justin. My gut feel, and obviously I don't know this for a fact, but his bikes seem to be very slow at times. Admittedly I don't know anything about speedway engines but what I would assume is that if he is only on a single wage now that he only rides for one team, and given his points tally over the last couple of months, maybe he just hasn't got the money to invest back into his kit? Yep, Rob was exceptional at times during 2011 and we all know the amount of knocks he took this season. I just don't see him improving for 2013. Obviously, I hope that I'm wrong and you can all stuff my words down my throat this time next year! I just think that we are taking a risk with Justin, a risk with Ritchie in that we hope he comes back fully fit, and potentially taking an even further risk with Mearo which could make us extremely vulnerable, especially away from home, where we severely lack fire-power at times. Bridger, I think we'll just have to agree to disagree. Some of the comments I've read on his Twitter over the past couple of years just gives me the impression that he's got a short fuse and is quite immature for his age. As for the Dave Kennett point you mentioned. Sorry but I don't really know enough to comment. My point about Eddie is that he's just far too inconsistent, coupled with the cheating issues.
  24. Firstly, I only hope that when Richie returns, he's able to rediscover and improve upon his pre-injury form. The fact that he's signed for us is very good news, albeit I've not seen this confirmed on our website yet? Riders of Ritchie Worral's ability are not easily found at reserve at many (if any?) EL teams. Sedgie - hope that I'm wrong but I think giving him a 2013 contract is a risk. When he left Redcar, his form worryingly dropped and, at times, he was looking totally out of his depth. His bikes just didn't appear to have much grunt. I know he wasn't pulling up any trees at Redcar but his form for us seemed better when he was racing more regularly. I wouldn't think twice retaining him as a D/U rider but having Sedgie in the main body of the team? Hope I'm wrong but I think offering him a 2013 contract was premature. Rob Mear - a popular lad and a Hammer through and through. He also suffered some really bad knocks towards the end of the season and rode on regardless. However, I think he's another rider that is suffering through not doubling up (which he's unlikely to do as I've heard he has a full-time job). I know I'm not going to be popular with other Hammers faithful but personally, I wouldn't offer Rob a contract in 2013. When the chips have been down, he's gone missing a little too often. I think a move would actually benefit both parties. Kim Nilsson - if we can secure Kim for 2013, I think he could be a revelation. Undoubtedly has the talent to become a heat leader, and another year under PK's wing should see him achieve the level of consistency that he's lacked to date. An ultra-quick rider that just needs the balls to go outside riders at times. He'd have had a contract by now if I was Cookie/Duggo. Ben Barker - quality rider that shows true Brit spirit. Apparently loves our track and, if he becomes available, I'd be over the moon to see him in our squad. Other names I've seen mentioned - Lewis Bridger. If only he was half as good as he thinks he is, he'd be worth a contract. Fact is, he isn't. Eddie Kennett. Haha errrrrrm, thanks but NO THANKS! Scott Nicholls. Past his best and only seems to ride Lakeside well when wearing an opposition race-jacket. Undoubtedly, the rider many of us would love to have back is AJ. Possible? Who knows.
