  1. I reckon SCB is over the moon that it's been locked. After all, he often appears to love having the final word!
  2. Because, just like our (apparent) 'best friends' in the USA, we live in a land of freedom, democracy and human rights? Or so we are forever being brainwashed by the media to believe.
  3. Without reading through every page of opinion upon this thread, I just perceive it to be yet another lame anti-Lakeside rant from SCB. To this end, I'll just treat his most recent example of 'Hammer Bashing' (ooooh matron!) with the contempt that it deserves. That said, I fully condone his right of having an opinion. I just wish, at times, that he'd change the record.
  4. How wonderful. I'd rather we had signed a decent 7th one first.
  5. What a ridiculous comment. How can you say we have 'the perfect balance' when the team hasn't even been completed?
  6. 3.87 Otherwise known as 'a steal'. And a much better option than Bjarne Pedersen in my opinion - even if Piotr brough his Mother over as a mechanic. She'd probably have more of a clue than Brian Karger!
  7. I just think it's a tad suspect (let me be more honest - utter bullish!t) when I hear comments such as "Bjarne really wanted to come to Lakeside over anyone else" - Jon Cook's words, not mine. Why's that then? Because we are one of the few teams that he hasn't ridden for/let down? In an ultra- weak charade of an Elite League Circus in 2016, he will probably do alright at home. But it's away where we are the constant 'sacrificial lamb' - and the inclusion of BP is hardly going to change that accolade, is it?
  8. As far as Blackbird is concerned, I just cannot comprehend our Promotions' mentality on this one. He's a very competent reserve. A good rider. But at the end of the day, that's about it. He isn't an International star, nor a world beater. And although not a gambler, I'd put a few bob on him never being either. Why are we still waiting for him to make a decision? The rest of the team-building is potentially put on hold pending Mr. Blackbird deciding whether he wants to ride again, or stay in retirement? Teams, including ourselves, have had to put up with this pathetic situation already; most recently with Mr. Bridger. It only ends in tears; and a team vacancy that kills the dynamics. As far as I'm concerned, Mr Blackbird should be given 48 hours to make up his mind. "Do you want to ride for Lakeside, or not". The fact he is still apparently 'making up his mind' hardly convinces me of any commitment. Can you imagine Poole standing for this load of boll@$? No, neither can I.
  9. Nominate Tai for an honour? Errrmm, OK. What about 'wearer of the World's gayest earrings'?
  10. Why? He hasn't done a good job for anyone else over the past few years.
  11. Can anyone tell me of ANY team in Speedway Worldwide that doesn't have a 'home track advantage' (irrespective of the shape)? End of argument really, isn't it.
  12. Humphrey........"my dear man". Embarrassed? Oh my word, what a wonderfully blinkered approach. How many times, in the 12 months leading up to 9/11, were defensive jets deployed whenever an airliner went just slightly off course, or lost communication? 67 times. How many jets were scrambled on 9/11.......including when air space was encroached around the most DEFENDED City on this planet - Washington? NONE. Read that again. NONE. Four independent incidents; three in completely seperate locations. Not one fighter jet deployed. That isn't 'conspiracy' - that is FACT. It ISN'T an embarrassment through oversight; unless of course you believe in such 'coincidences'. And, as I said before, WHERE is the wreckage of any airliner? They ALL just vanished into vapour? Seriously? The apparent thwarted attack in Pennsylvania.....a 'crash site' with not a single piece of aircraft remaining for the NTSB to investigate. Not a single body. What survived? A couple of bandannas that must have belonged to terrorists. Please don't insult my intelligence. Reading your posts, I consider you to be a pretty intelligent, common-sense kind of guy. I certainly don't consider myself to be a dimwit. But honestly old chap, if you believe the lies and deceit surrounding this event, then I truly despair. But you have your point of view; I have mine. Maybe I'd even consider your side of the argument justifiable. However, just answer me this ONE question. HOW, and WHY, did WTC 7 come down? Please do not say 'fire' or 'flying debris' as that has already been disproven many, many times; and never actually proven to be possible; other than via a controlled explosion. And please explain why it was overlooked within the 'Official' 9/11 report? Answer that, and I may even start to believe.
  13. Never Philip? You've NEVER spoken to ANYONE that doubts the events of 9/11? - You've NEVER met anyone that has questioned "where the wreckage was from the four airliners"? - NEVER met anyone that has questioned how WTC 7 went into free fall when it wasn't even hit; and along with the twin towers, fell in seconds into their own footprints? The first time in history that THREE steel-enforced building have ever done so? - NEVER had anyone question how four commercial airliners went off course but none were intercepted by the USAF - including one flying into the air space of the most protected building(s) on this planet (The White House & Pentagon)? Or wondered how a commercial airliner, with a wingspan of 38m managed to create a 5m hole in a building? - Do these people that you HAVE spoken to disbelieve their own Countrymen; ex-FBI, ex-CIA, the NY firemen that were there on the day, NTSB Officials; and pilots with lifetimes within the forces (and continued as commercial pilots) who collectively say that such airmanship would have been impossible? Are these officials also 'conspiracy theorists'? Or should we simply believe everything that the Bush administration told us? - They do not doubt how two airliners, and three buildings designed to take 'multiple airline hits' were reduced to dust; yet amazingly a FBI operative managed to find a passport, MADE OF PAPER, and belonging to one of the 'terrorists' was found at the scene? - And, as for these 'pilots', are these the same people that were named within the 19 who were subsequently found to be alive and in some cases, still working as commercial pilots for Saudi Arabian Airlines? Regarding (quote): "In fact, where I live for most of the winter (Sarasota) is where the pilots trained and yet no one questioned that they only wanted to learn to take off and fly ... and didn't bother about landing. There was a clue there!" Can you refer me to any proof of this; apart from local Chinese whispers and/or "a guy in a bar told me"? Do you know what.........I'm really not that surprised. I'm NOT a conspiracy theorist. I do not believe in ghosts, aliens or lizard people. BUT when such an incident continues to have more unanswered questions than proven facts, it does make one just a tad sceptical. And when it involves a Nation with 'previous' of such lies, subterfuge and deceit (not to mention a MOTIVE) then excuse me if I'm not necessarily convinced by it's people who are, let's be honest, hardly the sharpest pencils in the box. And for people that doubt the events of that day, YouTube is awash with MORE EVIDENCE to the contrary than what supposedly happened. And on the balance of probability, I know where I'd put my money on this one!
  14. Actually I wouldn't. It's called Chile. Now thriving under Socialism, after its years of self-destruction under Pinochet. The only conspiracies around 9/11 emanate from Washington. A government that, 14 years after the event, preside over more unanswered questions than ones explained. As for 'Al Qaeda' existing. You clearly know more than ex-CIA whistleblowers, such as Susan Landauer or Michael Scheuer.
  15. Humphrey Appleby - you do not appear to be able to distinguish between Socialism and Communism. Your namesake would be truly appalled. As for 9/11. Maybe you'd care to enlighten me who WAS responsible? Oh, I know......the (non-existent) 'Al Qaeda' perhaps? PMSL
  16. Ahh, a typical Sun/Daily Mail response. This idiotic stance that if you are anti-monarchist, you cannot be proud of your Country. Indeed, how poignant that whilst typing this thread I've just stopped, and stood, to respect the minute silence. I utterly respect those who have died defending this Country in two World Wars. Similarly, I pay my respect to those poor souls sent to their deaths in more recent illegal wars; purely in the name of greed and profit; coupled with the currency of oil remaining in the US $. I adore the many things that this great Country has achieved; in particular our NHS; and the Welfare State (designed by the Liberal politician Beveridge) for those truly in need. How sickening that these great innovations, introduced shortly after WW2 by a true Socialist Labour Government; and during a period of extreme financial pressure, are being eroded by politicians who aren't fit to clean Nye Bevan's boots. And readers of most media, or people brainwashed by T.V. are basically so braindead that they believe the lies and character assassination of Jeremy Corbyn. But then these are the people who probably still shop via Amazon, watch the X Factor, or believe the events of 9/11. So yes, I am proud to be British. But that doesn't mean that I have to wave a Union Jack and be proud of our unelected (and for many years, tax-dodging) monarchy. And if Tai feels the same, then bloody good luck to him. I actually remember his Dad making negative comments about Thatcher in the mid-80's; within a rider profile section in the Speedway Star. I can only assume that Tai had his political eyes opened by Rob from an early age. We have enough brainwashed automatons in society already. One can only hope that Tai's generation, and those who come after, will see the pitfalls and pure evil of Capitalism, and banish it to the history books for eternity. That's if this planet has a future of course because, at this moment in time, it's looking (extremely worryingly) less and less likely.
  17. Not as badly as being taken by a mug by Cameron and Osborne.
  18. Let me try. I don't like being taken for a mug by the Illuminati. Capiche?
  19. I am proud of many aspects of my Country. I am also, at this particular moment in time, proud to wear a poppy for the many thousands of innocent souls who have given their lives. That said, I have never sung (nor stood for) The National Anthem in my lifetime. And I never will. I class the entire royal family as a bunch of utter parasites. And I find it sheer hypocrisy to witness this utterly diversive raft of 'benefit' programmes on TV; whilst the royals, and other nobodies associated within their blood-lines, continue to flourish; as the poverty gap widens to it's greatest since records began within the UK. And as a Socialist, I would kick them all out on the street tomorrow; whilst distributing their unearned wealth to the most needy within society. And as for their stolen properties; I would similarly convert these to give shelter to those who are forced (often through mental health) to spend their lives living on the streets; often with nothing more than a cardboard box in which to sleep.
  20. Having seen us quite a lot on our travels (particularly over the past 4 seasons), I think 'nicking' away points is just about the only way we'll ever get any! As for a few mentions now about Davey Watt returning..........please NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Next signing, next to AJ, has got to be Kim Nilsson. Bech, thanks but no thanks. No commitment demonstrated for the team during the past two years. Riders aside, our main change has got to be Neil Vatcher. I've stuck up for him many times in the past, but basically the guy's record says it all. A failure and an utter lightweight.
  22. Someone is so obsessed with his own self-importance that he starts a thread letting people know he's back. Thoughts? Well, as you asked, my thought is that you are a complete and utter tw@t. Your team truly deserves you.
  23. Exactly the same here to be honest Bruno. You get that occasional twinge in the lower back; then silently blame yourself for not having drank the local reservoir dry on a daily basis. Kidney stones must truly be the male equivalent of childbirth. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.........not even Matt Ford. Getting back on track. I think it's a shame that we are losing Adam Ellis at this stage of his career. Having persevered with his 'development' over the past two seasons, we've seen, particularly in his scoring towards the latter part of the 2015 meetings, just what this lad is capable of. Now someone else is going to potentially benefit. That is, of course, if he maintains his end of season form. If not, he will no doubt be unceremoniously discarded - at one particular club being linked with his acquisition! That is, of course, if he doesn't just create some utter BS story about his Father being ill; and only ride at those tracks where he performs well. I'm sure he'd get all the support on Twitter from Dr. Watt; and in order to appease the local sycophants, in the local press from Fraud and the lapdog.
  24. As long as it's not a straight swap for Davey Watt. I'd rather have kidney stones come back!
