I don't know what Sam E is smoking but it must be pretty potent. This from the Birmingham press release after last night...“It’s hard to get it consistent at the moment, we’re still working on it, and when it does click we’ll be a force.”

It is either the track, the weather, the wind was blowing in the wrong direction, we chose the wrong guest, our porridge for breakfast was the wrong flavour ... the excuses coming out of Birmingham are becoming more embarrassing by the week. How about the promotion picked a pretty ordinary team ... and then hyped them up as play-off contenders (not for the first time) when everyone and their dog could see that wasn't the case. That's not to say they should criticise the team ... but how about a modicum of realism now and then?

So how many media outlets (not speedway facebook sites) used material from yesterday's media day? I don't read many national newspapers but I can't seem to locate anything.

Enjoyable yes, but amazing and unbelievable (the words of Brannan and Roynon). I must have been watching a different meeting!

But I am not doing 'nothing', I am paying Birmingham Speedway £11.99 most matches to help them - the least I deserve (if not a refund, which I am not bothered about tbh) is an apology and someone to reply to my emails? No doubt they will be 'frustrated' (the in-word for all Birmingham officials these days) when the crowd and streaming revenue diminishes ever further in the weeks ahead.

Actually Martin that's exactly what you were suggesting ... or it certainly came across that way. No contact or apology from Birmingham Speedway so far - that's the most annoying thing. Speedway promoters haven't got the first idea about customer relations.

No word of a refund for last night's cr** stream either. Piss poor. Expected better from this current Birmingham promotion.

I don't think the main presenter is very good at all - I am sure she is a lovely person but most of her presentation is just fluff. Her questions are schoolgirlish at best. Like you say Tatum is no journalist and his research is lacking big-time ... it all smacks of being done on the cheap. Which sums up British Speedway very nicely.

Comparing David Rowe/Sam Ermolenko to Nigel Pearson/Kelvin Tatum is like comparing the Chuckle Brothers to the Two Ronnies. There's only going to be one winner.

On the other side of the coin, I haven't been to a 'live' speedway meeting for some 10 years but I happily paid to watch the stream of the British final.
