Useless TV direction/camerawork from Discovery yet again, how hard can it be? -

Why can't they just put the scores up like this from 11 years ago? Eurosport/Discovery events just don't get speedway do they? -

Can they not put the team scores up on screen more often? Useless. -

Back to the best format in my opinion but I did prefer it when the semi-finals were at different venues to the race-off/final. Thought it added some variety to the week, whereas four meetings at the same venue (without a home nation for first three) might get a bit stale by the end. It was always nice to get behind your country at a local meeting and feel a part of the World Cup week. Also saw some really good tracks like Vastervik and Bydgoszcz that don't come around too often. -

He also rode at Belle Vue in the 2016 World Cup race-off, not sure about the others. -

Belle Vue v Kings Lynn Euroflop 11 July
Jester replied to secsy1's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
How many times tonight have we missed crucial overtakes coming out of the second bend on the first lap because they can't fit all four bikes in the shot from that stupid reverse angle? Just keep all four bikes in the shot and if you can't, then just stick with the camera over the start/finish! It's not hard is it? -
After all the build-up pre-season about new in-depth and insightful coverage from Eurosport it's just exactly the same as it was last year on BT, both in terms of the production and meetings covered. Even the barely readable (often incorrect) on-screen graphics and shoddy camerawork/direction is exactly the same. I have no complaints about the presenting team but you just get the impression that the production company have no clue how to broadcast a speedway race.

British Final 2021

Useless camerawork/direction yet again. Three riders side by side going into turn one and we cut to a shot of the flag marshal and totally miss it. In football would they cut to a shot of the referee with a player about to score a match winning goal? -

Some good racing tonight by King's Lynn standards, although looked tricky to ride early doors. -

Another shambolic start to a TV meeting. -

I think it's clear that the director has never set their eyes on a speedway meeting before. -

Ellis and Masters side-by-side going into turn 3 on the last lap and we cut to a close up of Becker and totally miss the action. Just stick to a wide shot for goodness sake! -

Far too many, often quite disorientating for the viewer. Also filling the frame with one bike when there's action going on elsewhere is infuriating. Seems to be the same production/direction for the racing as it was on BT unfortunately.
