  1. Personally think the Hall signing is great. I've never been his biggest fan, but at reserve and on that average I can't see the negative. As previously mentioned, he only needs to score his average away and he's almost number 1 quality round Ollerton. As for stead he's come back from big injuries before and was unbeaten at home last season and scoring big away. He's been back in the gym for months I can't see any reason why he can't do it again. I think the teams shaping up well and look forward to who the promotion will add to complete the septet.
  2. Allowing for no fast track reserve, could have a team with a strong reserve rotating with averages eg. Garrity Bates Compton Poole Proctor Birks Sissis (Birks tweeted yesterday "roll on 2016, no more cold workshop" with reference to his new homemade heater)
  3. Stead Bates Bellego Compton Proctor Sissis Castagna/Wajknecht We made the playoffs this year by concentrating on home wins, if it wasn't for injuries and visa's.....who knows. Should stick to a good home team.
  4. Todd Kurtz last Twitter post, 5.96 Average? @TKR10: Can anyone tell me the best place to get a shoei helmet in the uk please?
  5. Great fantasy speedway game. Anyone fancy trying to beat me in the Sheffield supporters league? http://win2008.speedwayleague.net/index.asp
  6. Taken from Ty Proctors Twitter Saturday evening @typroctor20: Interesting news coming Monday in regards to my plans in 2015 #unexpected
  7. Surprised Facundo Albin hasn't popped up in this thread. Wasn't he initially destined for Berwick before team changes and a move to Sheffield?
  8. Taken from Twitter this afternoon. @DamienBates: Glad how the team is coming together, josh will have some good a siss tance at reserve with him.
  9. I think your 1-5 is pretty much what the majority want to see along with Bates at 7. The toss up is the number 6 spot? Sissis, Roynon, Lanham, Covatti, Wilson or Hall. I initially wanted to see Lanham as the senior reserve but the more I think about it, and I can't believe I'm saying it but I think Hall is the one for me! The teams being built to win and entertain at home. Well other than Stead there's no one better round Sheffield than Hall and he may even be the most entertaining rider round Owllerton. He wouldn't be brought in as second heat leader as previous but reserve. He should bang the points in. Even if he moves into the main body that means any of the other riders would be strong enough to cover the reserve spot. I know he's not good away but if we can build confidence as a team at home we'll surely pick up points on the road.
  10. Don't see the hype about Ellis. Think he'll be lucky to break the 5 point barrier next season. Riding at Lakeside in the draft too, doesn't that mean he'll miss meetings as they have priority as there asset? Also if any meetings are rescheduled we could be missing Ellis and Birks on the same night. R/R and a national league guest! Risager is another that I doubt will hold his average next season, no thanks
  11. Not sure why my post duplicated so deleted this one
  12. Two different teams one strong throughout, the other top heavy. Personally I'd go with the first as every rider has the potential for improvement. 1 Stead 9.96 2 Ruml 5.00 3 Wolbert 6.19 4 Birks 5.68 5 Proctor 6.27 6 Lanham 4.96 7 Bates 3.53 1 Stead 9.96 2 Hall 4.28 3 Auty 7.04 4 Poole 6.95 5 Lawson 8.22 6 Sarjeant 3.00 7 Bates 3.53 Not positive of Sarjeant's average. I'm 99% sure any Sheffield 2015 team will have Stead and Bates in. Both unrealistic teams as I can't see the club owners of Birks, Wolbert and Lanham over looking those riders with the averages they have, too much potential to increase their average. Bringing in Ruml who showed good potential in the World Cup might struggle to start but with Lanham and Bates to cover shouldn't be a problem till he drops to reserve. The second team looks great for Sheffield but I'm not sure would score much on the road. And think we'd be weak at reserve compared to the first. I'd be happy to see Wells return(let the Wells bashing begin lol). Believe his average will rise again next season. Albin looked exciting but exciting doesn't always score points so I'm not interested. Compton and Wilson have reached their peak and I can't see any room for improvement. Think the team will be very different to what I've selected. Difficult to pick for next season with no potential 3 point trump cards and a lot of riders around the 6-7 point average.
  13. If we're going for fortress owlerton shouldn't Richard Halls name be next on the list after Steady, especially as he may start at reserve?
  14. So who would you suggest as a strong reserve to partner Bates?
  15. On a 4.91 average I be doing my best to bring Lanham back in at reserve along side Bates. Don't forget he didn't have a team until a few weeks before the season started then carried injuries most of the season. But at reserve...I'd take him over risking Covatti all day long. Ben Wilson has reached his peak, nothing more than a premier league reserve. Hall a steal at Sheffield on 4.28 and class, but would struggle to score 4 away.
