I own two pubs, one has been open for ten years and works very well and the other is a year old and performing above expectations. In the years i've owned my pubs i've realised that just opening the doors and expecting it to be enough to pull people in doesn't work. They can drink anywhere, you have to give them a reason to come to you rather than other bars, cafés, restaurants, tea rooms, etc... What do i do ?? Live music quiz pool / darts competitions promotions on drinks live sports on big screens etc, etc. In short, being just a pub isn't enough, people can spend there money anywhere, I have to make it worth their while to come to mine and provide something other than an open door and keep expecting people to keep coming back. If i had my way there'd be Led zeppelin playing and just motorcycle racing on the giant screens, but i would be probably the only person there . However i employ young staff who keep the music choice fresh and come up with as many ideas as possible to make my bars more attractive than any other local ones. Believe it or not, just the choice of music is VERY important in setting the mood, it can make or break an evenings entertainment, We advertise our local rugby clubs matches , how ? they provide an upload able poster that anyone can print off at home and spread the word. ( I've seen the posters popping up in some of the most unusual places) There is no 1 thing that will change everything but there are lots of small things ( that don't cost anything) that will help improve matters. I hate hearing Gary Glitter, Alvin Stardust, cliff Richard etc at a meeting. There is no need for it and playing it week in week out it's just plain laziness Why do the GP's work and pull in Monster sponsorship ? razzmatazz.... make it enjoyable to go for god's sake, put a questionnaire in a programme that people can fill in during one of the (too long) intervals and READ IT, more importantly ACT ON IT . A business that doesn't listen to its customers is a business that fails

Point out where I've "hyped " him up Ray, I'm a realist. I said at the start of the season we'd hope to put two points on his starting average. Last night was his worst home meeting since his first match at foxhall. He had clutch problems from the second heat onwards and no one was more upset about his performance than himself. I wondered how long before you came on here attacking him Ray and didnt even look on here till about an hour ago and boy, you didn't disappoint. I bet you couldn't wait ! I've restrained from replying to your bile and have been buoyed by the many emails and tweets from real Ipswich fans telling me that you're the well known Ipswich weirdo and have been the laughing stock of foxhall for years. Carry on mate, fill your boots attacking Adam. PL racing, chris and anything else to do with Ipswich you're troll who gets his kicks from getting a reaction from others, whether its about speedway or sending "hugs" to a strangers 6 year old son as you did the other week. Me ? I like speedway in all its forms. I've raced to a high level myself on grasstrack so know that the difference between good meetings and bad meetings can be minuscule. I've already wasted too much of my life replying to you Ray. Get a life you sad old fool. -

Jackall / Ray is a monumental bell end. His non stop anti CL/Ipswich bleating says it all. We all humour our very own "uncle Albert" but for god sake don't feed the troll He knows who I am and ill happily but him a pint and introduce him personally to all the team If he has the balls to say to heir face what he says on here Don't hold your breath folks. He's a twunt who had no balls. Come on Ray. Show us how big you really are and tell the riders and Chris to their face where they're going wrong. The beer's are on me and you can really put your point across personally rather than just being an annonymous dick on the end of a keyboard. As I've said previously ... (And you've ignored ) Over to you mate -

Stoke And Comments In The Kings Lynn Programme
Jonny the spud replied to semion's topic in National League Speedway
I can't comment ontnd other night but the previous time IOW were there I picked up shed loads of nuts and bolts, bits of sharp metal, broken glass and god knows what else off the track The management were busy screwing back the outside boards and attattching the air fence after being instructed to by the referee and woe betide anyone who dared put a front wheel inside the track as the kerbstones were all over the place and there was a foot deep drop on the inside. It was my first visit to the place and its a dump. Pure and simple. -

Jackulate... Ill stop posting when you stop being a monumental cock. Looks like ill be on here for quite a while going on your past form An interesting point on another thread.. You obviously have a massive axe to grind as you're constantly negative against CL/Ipswich. Disgruntled ex rider/worker/just a twit I wonder ??? -
