I can't comment ontnd other night but the previous time IOW were there I picked up shed loads of nuts and bolts, bits of sharp metal, broken glass and god knows what else off the track The management were busy screwing back the outside boards and attattching the air fence after being instructed to by the referee and woe betide anyone who dared put a front wheel inside the track as the kerbstones were all over the place and there was a foot deep drop on the inside. It was my first visit to the place and its a dump. Pure and simple.

With you there. As its Adam's first year my meetings have been mostly national/premier standard and to me it's good honest "bang and crash" racing. Everyone putting all they've got into it. My limited experience of elite,( both live and on sky) all seems to be a bit " gate & go". I understand that like Moto GP it is the pinnacle of the sport but unlike Moto GP it's all rules and backstabbing, with everyone poring over an over complicated rule book in what is basically a very simple sport to try and get one over at any cost. As good as our youngsters are they're humbled by the poles etc whenever they compete on the world stage as uk promotors can't see the big picture and then bemoan the fact that there's no good Brits while at the same time pushing them aside to sign another foreigner. Rant over
