  1. Not tuned. No special parts. Just put together right
  2. Aren't all these 2014 threads jumping the gun a bit considering the league set ups haven't been thrashed out yet ? If there is a minimum Brit rule / combined EL-PL, I can see a lot of clubs pulling back there assets to cover themselves.
  3. Powerful engine ? Adam Ellis scored 13 points last week on a €800 eBay engine
  4. My 17 year old son is six foot tall and still growing. I think he weighs about 68-70 kg which isn't light. He raced against Dimitri Berge in the French 250 grass track championships and was at a bit of a disadvantage as Dimi is knee high to a grasshopper and weighs 51 kgs.
  5. It doesn't help riders trying to attract sponsors if they can't say where / what league they'll be riding in either.
  6. after being taken out heavily in his second ride and with the abysmal state of the stoke track which saw many fallers he decided to pull out He did drive to Glasgow and after being unable to find a hotel ended up sleeping in the van. Hardly ideal preparation but he's up for it.
  7. When is the AGM to decide what's happening next year in terms of leagues etc ?? With the end of this season fast approaching, riders / sponsors etc will need to sort out affairs for next year so will there be any sense of urgency from the powers that be ?
  8. Depends if you're the one going into a bend at 70mph with no vision I suppose.
  9. It's a vicious circle. People bemoan the lack of English talent while sponsors throw money at foreigners. Young Brits will get there if given a fraction of the backing that overseas riders get.
  10. I was following the Kent official twitter feed. There were fallers / tape breakages in each of the first six heats plus restarts for broken tapes in heat 4&6 I got fed up trying to follow it. All I asked is why there seems to be so many fallers at the Kent track every week
  11. You missed my point. Twitter is faster than the updates site. I got fed up as apart from heat 7 which had RR. every other heat has either had a re start or a fall. I don't know of any other track that has so many fallers.
  12. Tried following the match on twitter but I think every heat has had a stoppage of some kind. Got fed up in the end. What is it at Kent. It's like that every week
  13. Can someone explain the point in making the track completely different between practice and racing ? Why bother with practice in the first place if you're gonna bloody change it !!
  14. How comes nearly every speedway thread soon descends into an almost train spotting level of percentages and averages ? I fear my son has got into this sport at a time where it's just about to disappear up its own exhaust pipe with an almost lemming like tendency to shoot itself in the foot as far as over complicated rules go
  15. My son (Adam Ellis ) represented GB in the U21's in both Italy and Poland this year. Did he even stand half a chance of breaking even, let alone making any money ??? No chance. But in our mind its international experience and should be grabbed with both hands, and if you don't like travelling then you're in the wrong sport. With the GB test being held in the UK it does look as if cook could be shooting himself in the foot as far as future selection may go. Time will tell I suppose
  16. I'm stuck 1,000 kms away but this is a match I'd love to have seen
  17. Adams first meeting at no 1, Tom back, should be good .
  18. So where are all these moto x engines going to come from and what do riders do with the engines they've already got ?
  19. I just used Tom as an example. But if there aren't any suitable Brits out there, one has to ask why ??
  20. It's the vicious circle isn't it Not enough good Brits ( although Tom perry etc are available) " ahh but he's not good enough" the fans will cry So we leave him ( and others) without the means to compete and improve, then ......... Moan that there aren't any good Brits etc ..... Never mind there's lots of foreigners out there who can fill the places I suppose
  21. But when you do get good English riders coming through they usually don't get the help with vans/ accommodation that the foreign guys seem to get
  22. Rasmus Jensen. That's a good British name !! Nice to see clubs giving young British riders the chance to improve eh ?
