  1. slightly biased i know but well done Adam, great nights work, shame i wasn't there to witness it
  2. I know Neal Vatcher gets a lot of criticism on here from time to time, but i'd just like to publicly thank the BSPA for organising it, and him for coming to Macon in the south of France straight from last Fridays meeting and spending all day and evening at Adam's side. He was on top of the game in terms of motivation, points needed and keeping Adam calm. We were unlucky not to get the win, but to be only a point behind a quick Czech and in front of some fast Poles and Germans was a great feeling . Onwards and upwards to the final in Denmark.
  3. I've supported ipswich for a few years now ( obviously ) and although i haven't followed this particular incident too closely, I take anything said in public ( by either riders or management ) with the biggest pinch of salt imaginable. Riders have ups and downs and sometimes the different between success and giving up can be measured in millimetres . What's said in public and what goes on behind the scenes are two completely different things. debate is a good thing but experience tells me that whats on here is rarely the full picture. I hope you guys turn it around for the rest of the season.
  4. Tuners are engineers , it's not just a case of bolting bits on or they'd all be doing it. You can bet that as soon as the Gerhard engine goes on general sale, every tuner will but one, strip it down and start looking on ways to improve it.
  5. Cardiff should be ok, There's a full 20 heat meeting behind closed doors next Tuesday to test the track. It's the best GP in the world, they're leaving nothing to chance.
  6. Probably not at 50 years of age which is why my son now rides and i've stopped.
  7. Well done Brummies, great win on what was thought to be a tough challenge, need to sort out the reserve berths though.
  8. It's being dyno tested at the moment, i think it's just going to be used for grass track/ long track to start with .
  9. Boxhall pulled out of tonights RH meeting with a shoulder injury after two offs , hope it's not too bad
  10. Because of this site and social media etc, you tend to hear about the injuries more . In "the good old days ( where TWK et al live) by the time the carrier pidgeon had brought the news of an injury the guy was back on track .
  11. Many riders arrange a mechanic to meet them at the track, only the well sponsored ones can afford to pay / have their mechanic paid for by the club. Adam got the call late the previous night and had to drive from Birmingham back to near Wimbourne, get up early and clean his bikes , suit etc before setting off again at lunchtime. He put a shout out on twitter and a mechanic was arranged, nothing unusual in that .
  12. the bike took out the first panel, he took out the rest, a bit sore but he'll live
  13. Maybe i'm being naive but for a club that closed last year, surely getting the word out there through as many means as possible ( whether it's "official " or fan based ) is a good thing ?
  14. where would you sent the brits who are quite happy to live on the dole and ponce off the state ?
  15. i love the "bloody foreign scroungers " threads, they just conveniently forget that there's more brits claiming benefits abroad than "foreigners" claiming benefits here. Not forgetting of course what wonderfully honest hard workers all the brits are, who would never claim benefits they weren't entitled to etc …. Although this has nothing to do with speedway the usual subjects do seem to pop up and take over with their "opinions"
