I've dislocated the left one three times and the right one twice. The right one popped 2 years ago while doing a bit of DIY, Adam's popped out earlier this season reaching to catch a tennis ball. Shoulders are a bugger.

Nothing wrong with a free drink or two, but when he wants to invite 100 mates every week ? I employ 50-60 people in three different bar / restaurants, they're hardworking and help me to be where I am today. The deal is when they turn up at one of my bars their first drink is on the house and subsequent drinks at a reduced rate. If they turned up with a group of mates expecting freebies the answer's no. -
Sorry. Edited it

With a GM you know what you're getting, information is readily available. As I said. In speedway if you don't score you're out if a job. The grass track rider was English. Riding on smaller English tracks. My point was if you're selling a new product and trying to attract standard riders, don't hide info on how to get it running right
-
Therein lies the problem. Freddie, therefore Marcel too knew the optimum settings to get the engine running competitively but refused to share them. They were trying to sell the engine to riders without providing adequate set up info, leaving them wasting time and money chasing set ups. Which in a results based sport can mean you're out of a job if you don't score. Many people (me included) spent thousands on a product and then sold it and bought another GM which we knew would do the job. I've already seen tuned GTR's with different cams competing on the grass in international meetings so even the "don't need to tune them" line has gone out of the window.

Anyone who knows how to set them up isn't passing on info. In a sport where if you don't score you don't get paid, riders can't afford to cock up meetings hoping to get it right. The power drops off big time after a while. Hence not a lot of riders are willing to take the risk

I've had fans of at least 5 clubs ask me about rumours, i don't know where he's riding . I don't think anyone does ( him included) till after the AGM.

I don't ask how much my son earns as it's none of my business, I do know however that he does occasional work during the season when he can fit it in, works whenever he gets back to France every year, in the past has had to sell his moto x bike ( which he rides to keep fit in the close season) and sell off equipment etc... just to get to the tapes the following year. There really are some fantasist ideas on here as to how much a rider earns. Sponsorship is very hard to come by as well.

Some kind of financial bonus for winning our so called top league. You know, the one on TV that has fireworks, drama, shouting, "speedway from the top drawer" etc...... All the money we hear about floating around in speedway, the top riders earning thousands, the countless fortunes being spent on tuning, 40,000+ fans at Cardiff, new stadiums, (not to mention the 5 figure fines that disappear into a pot somewhere) and the bonus for the 7 guys who put their health on the line for this great sport is ............... ? Sweet FA

Actually it's quite sad, in the past i've been happy to give certain people the benefit of the doubt with their "eccentricities" but this thread is way over the top. A lot of of posters will look silly (or at least more silly than they normally do) come race time. It's almost as if they're more content with dick waving on an internet forum than following the race meeting. -

Why are speedway fans so obsessed with what a rider earns ? I don't care what a plumber, footballer, doctor, actor or anyone who posts on here earns. If you enjoy the sport, watch it. If you feel you're not getting your moneys worth, don't go. It's down to the promotors to make it work, that's their business.
