The red lights at Berwick do flash (do they now flash at DP?).
The 2 minute flashers also go off when the green light comes on for the tapes so riders don't get confused by thinking that they see a red light when in fact it's the 2 minute light.
At Berwick there is a red light siren located above the referee's box (all tracks should have this because the red lights could fuse so this way at least the starting gate staff can hear).
The referee has this switch next to the red stop lights. This way you don't need to confuse the 2 minute warning with the red lights alarm.
Think it was said at the hall of fame that we are not racing that night (31st May).
If we have a few rain off's then it could be used for that (hopefully not).
Most Leicester fans took it well and admitted the best team won. A couple of the Leicester fans I spoke to didn't see that 2 of their riders had the wrong race-jackets on in the semi-final (although they were correct in the final).
Wonder if we will get the chance to defend the title next year?
