  1. If it was said at the start of the season that 8 clubs would be involved then I don't think there would be much said. Berwick had a supporters bus at Leicester when we weren't in the competition but it was known when the tour was set up that Berwick might not qualify.
  2. It was said earlier in the season that all 10 teams would be involved in the pairs and 4's. I have spent ages getting on-call's swapped and covered so I could go but will now have to try and get as many swapped back. The interesting point from last year was that Berwick and Plymouth were in the final and if only the top 8 teams qualified then neither of these teams would have been there.
  3. I heard he had a good reason for missing last night.
  4. Could the Russians not have put their reserve in heat 17 and put Laguta in the race. They were 7 points behind
  5. It looks like it was only Richard who took points from the Newcastle top 5. In our 3 meetings at Newcastle this year Ludvig is the only one in the top 5 to run a last (heat 15).
  6. Seems the Swedish final was last night and the Polish final is running just now. The riders should be available to race for their clubs (just as easy for the Swedes and Poles to get injured in their meetings as the Brit's getting injured) if they want to. It should be the same rules for all teams.
  7. I thought the KOC was supposed to be run at the start of the season. Ipswich were in the semi final's on 1st April. Sheffield into semi-final on 1st June. _______ will therefore be in the semi final 1st August. Why has pressure not been put on teams to race this competition (If you haven't raced by a certain date both teams are thrown out the competition). Remind me again who Glasgow race against (Ipswich into semi final more than 2 months before Glasgow know who they are racing in the quarter final's).
  8. Hopefully Nicki is ok to race. Seems he has had a crash tonight.
  9. At least he has hopefully got over his crash there at the start of the season which put him out our KOC matches with Ipswich.
  10. I know but it isn't an official average because he hasn't completed the required meeting's. Surely the higher average is used or you won't have an accurate average. As other have said dodgy burgers, different Aussie rules etc, etc .
  11. According to SCB green sheet issue 7 his average is 2.00 (where does the 4.57 come from?). It is also 2.27 in the higher league so a conversion factor needs to be applied. As I have said before all teams look to get the biggest advantage they can from the rules. How is that so far off the mark it's laughable.
  12. Seems the Ipswich fans etc have quietened down since they have done the same thing (Signed Nathan Greaves who has a 2.27 Premiership average for a rider who has a 2.00 average in the Championship). They have 3 riders who's average has changed and is not a like for like signing (fitted in because Cameron Heeps average hasn't been adjusted even though he is 2 points higher than his green sheet average).
  13. Berwick had to race KOC matches and Scunny didn't so they completed their matches before Berwick. If Berwick have to have riders re-assessed after 1st May then so should Ipswich (no matter how many matches you have raced). Cameron Heeps has raced 7 matches the same as Danny.
  14. Berwick might have had their team changed before 1st May if the opening matches with Ipswich were league matches instead of KOC matches. Remind me again who Glasgow race in the quarter final's (the round Berwick had to race by the 1st April).
  15. I don't have a problem with the Ipswich team or the Scunny team I am just showing that both have used the rules to their advantage. I thought the Ipswich team was announced on the 3rd of May. They have 3 riders who's average is effective from the 6th May so they must have raced the required meeting's by the 30th April.
  16. Scunny average at the start of the season 39.27. They put a rider in who is 1.53 higher than the rider being replaced because of only 3 riders gaining an average (If you add 0.3 for Josh and 0.32 for Lewis and 0.1 for Josh they wouldn't be able to fit Nielsen in). Ipswich put a rider in who has a higher average than Nico so not a like for like change. Cameron Heeps didn't have the 2.06 added to his average or Danyon have the 2.57 added to his average. Not sure why Berwick team is causing such a stir while other teams are doing exactly the same and people think it's ok for them and not for Berwick.
  17. A new average for Scunny and Ipswich riders wasn't applied (if they hadn't completed the required meeting's). If they had applied new averages to all riders then both these teams would have been turned down so cannot see them applying a different rule for Berwick. Hopefully Liam regains his confidence by scoring points for Birmingham.
  18. I wonder how Ipswich can fit Justin into their team? According to some fans (If you re-declare your team after 1st May all riders new averages should be used). Taking the new averages Ipswich are above the points limit and Justin's average is above Nico's average (taking his start of the season average and his current Premiership average converted). Could someone tell me who Glasgow race in the quarter final's of the KO Cup since Berwick and Ipswich had to start the season with the KO Cup quarter final. Berwick rider's could then have been the same as Scunny and have raced the required matches before the 1st May (being able to change their team with the 1st May ruling not applying).. Good luck in the semi final whoever you get (could be a while).
  19. Not sure why he would go out the pits (possibly to see a different perspective of the racing). Thanks for the info.
  20. This season at Berwick Tom Perry 5+1 (5 races) Mark Riss 6+2 (7 races) Not much between the riders at Berwick this season (shouldn't stop you going anyway).
  21. Ipswich vs Berwick league (Thursday 27th April), Berwick vs Ipswich league (Saturday 29th April). Surely these matches could have been KOC matches as well instead of starting the official season with KOC matches. I would have thought it would be the same for all teams.
  22. Could Mitchell not be put in heat 14 to give him his 4 races. Is that not the 3rd week running he has only had 3 races with Edinburgh easily winning the previous 2 matches (cannot be helping with his confidence).
  23. I was wondering why Sheffield and Edinburgh haven't raced their KOC matches yet. I thought the season was supposed to start with KOC matches (obviously not the 2 teams who have received a bye). Berwick and Ipswich started with their matches and that's the same stage as Sheffield/Edinburgh. Does anyone know who compiles the fixture list as I heard a rumor a couple of weeks ago that Berwick were supposed to be at Ipswich the week before they were actually there.
  24. I didn't think heat 2 was the only uneven start either. I am sure he said at the talk-in that Jawa had done some development work in the winter. He also said that at the Kings Lynn practice he was one of the most consistent riders. Just needs to get out the starts with the other riders in the race.
  25. I was thinking you would have some teams built to 41 and others built to 42.5. Need to go with same average for all teams (all no.7 same average or same team total average with different averages for no.7's).
