I am sorry that I am not as dedicated as others (not at Ipswich to see us progress in the KOC). It is great that we have support at as many track's as possible. On another point I was just wondering if you have been to Shielfield Park in the last 3 and a bit years? Someone was going to point yourself out to me and I am still waiting.

In last night's program he had 10 points from 20 races. Adding 4 races from tonight he will have a 1.667 ave (rounded to 3). I don't think he has raced to much over the last couple of season's due to injuries etc (going by his video interview from a few weeks ago).

I thought that the guest had to be below 6.00 also (5.99 or lower). The rules also appear to be different from league to league (Thought Seb couldn't guest because his average was from a few years back and riders with an assessed average (5 or 7 points) couldn't guest until they gained an average). Probably wrong after a few pints. Might have changed but is Davey's average not a converted PL average (he therefore doesn't have a conference league average).

Good to see we are in the process of signing another rider. I take it Kev's average (and or Theo's) is above Seb's average for next month so we are unable to get a guest in August.

Berwick V Plymouth (2nd July) Pl

I think it was 78mph or thereabouts. I cannot remember if he even won the race. -
It was also different at Scunny v Sheffield match (reserve replacement in heat 15)

Glasgow V Newcastle, Sunday 29th May @ 3pm.

All fans look for is consistency. In the Berwick v Newcastle match Ben Barker touched the tapes first followed by Theo (shows on video). Scott tried to replace Theo with Thomas (blocked), he then tried to replace with Matty (blocked). This was in his program notes. Theo had to go from 15mtrs which moved Seb from his chosen gate. If Lawson's team-mate was off 15mtrs there would have been more pressure on him. Just noticed in the Scunny v Sheffield match Davies touched the tapes and was replaced by Nielsen (reserve replacement). -

Thanks for info. I will check out at the weekend as didn't know about this trip . I know about the one at the beginning of June to Scunny, Rye House and Mildenhall. I also know about the 2 day trip to the fours at Peterborough. -

The usual turnstile staff will be back next week so there will be the 3 gates open. Can only apologize for the wait to get in (not been on a turnstile for a couple of years). -
Berwick V Sheffield - August 15th
sparks123 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Maybe next season Craig will get his wish and not have to bother attending Berwick as he seems to have a problem with the place. Unfortunately the crowds at Berwick are a lot lower than Edinburgh. The only thing I will say about Saturday night is that the rules require adjusting (Berwick should have been awarded 3rd place in heat 2 due to a Sheffield rider being excluded for knocking Liam off). Surely the team with the injured rider shouldn't be handicapped in that race. -
Probably the same one as I am

Was the meeting recorded. Might have to get the away leg instead of the home meeting.

I haven't seen either the newsletter or TJ's statement so probably shouldn't comment. I think that Thomas has been mentioned in every newsletter I have read (and rightly so). He has done well for us this year and if we were to continue would surely be one of the first riders considered. Surely you want to boost the confidence of other riders when they do well (especially when they are new to UK speedway). I would think the other statement would put missing a rider from a match report into perspective.

Berwick Bandits V Glasgow Tigers 27/6/15
sparks123 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just a quick question Do you think Berwick are stronger with Fisher, R/R and Carr as opposed to Barker, Vissing and Hall? -
Maybe we could try signing Darcy Ward. See in the paper Glasgow are on about making a bid for him.

Would I know flip all about the time. Attended every weekend with my dad and uncle while Berrington was built. Attended all speedway meetings (all 3 leagues) at the venue. Attended all practice/press sessions. Attended all quad racing etc meetings. Attended all sand meetings Mark run (with things run at the speedway afterwards). Will go away and hide again.

Ipswich Witches Vs Berwick Bandits Koc 2nd Leg
sparks123 replied to Pob's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good result. Was saying on Saturday a 4 point or so loss in the first leg is a funny deficit. I remember a couple of years ago Ipswich came to Berwick in the same situation and hammered the Bandits. Maybe Bandits4eva will change her footer to this years team now (or see how we get on against the Rockets). -
Stefan Farnaby 3,3,3 Kieran Douglas 2,2,2 Lewis Millar 3,2,2 Ryan Morris 2,3,3 Jack Flynn 1,1,1 Dale Pate R,NS,NS Archie Freeman 0,0,0 Alex Goldbrough 1,1,1 Ht 1- 73.9 Ht 2- 63.3 Ht 3- 75.1 Ht 4- 65.5 Ht 5- 75.2 Ht 6- 63.7 That's what I got anyway. 4 laps for the bigger bikes and 3 laps for the smaller bikes.

Berwick V Glasgow (sat April 4) League Cup
sparks123 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Last night I got a mate and his wife to go to the meeting (2nd one after Edinburgh in the play-offs last year). He said he had been watching the football and Liverpool didn't get 2 goals from the penalty they had scored after being 3-0 down (the double points last season also cost Berwick against Edinburgh). I agreed that Claus probably wouldn't have been trying to catch Richard as much if Berwick were 8 points up instead of 5. It got me thinking. What would have happened in heat 15 today if lets say Kevin had got double points in heat 12 as the match would have been on the line. How about giving the team manager the option of using the double point ride in the first meeting between the sides knowing the other team will then be allowed the same function no matter the score in the other meeting between the sides. I know it has been removed from 2 legged matches for the same reason mentioned above. -
Berwick Vs Workington Sat 19 April
sparks123 replied to YAMYAMBANDIT's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The red lights at Berwick do flash (do they now flash at DP?). The 2 minute flashers also go off when the green light comes on for the tapes so riders don't get confused by thinking that they see a red light when in fact it's the 2 minute light. -
Berwick Vs Workington Sat 19 April
sparks123 replied to YAMYAMBANDIT's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
At Berwick there is a red light siren located above the referee's box (all tracks should have this because the red lights could fuse so this way at least the starting gate staff can hear). The referee has this switch next to the red stop lights. This way you don't need to confuse the 2 minute warning with the red lights alarm. -
Think it was said at the hall of fame that we are not racing that night (31st May). If we have a few rain off's then it could be used for that (hopefully not).
