  1. Greensheet averages still show John in the team (maybe job sharing for when Theo is on longtrack duty). Theo and Matty are still in the Redcar team (release 10 from today).
  2. Jonas B Andersen was late in arriving. Heat 1 would be a good 5 minutes later than the previous week against Newcastle.
  3. Don't get a guest for one second string missing. we should try Newcastle's rules and try giving Busk an RR ride (his average is below Jye from tomorrow and Newcastle got an extra day for Lewis Rose taking time out the sport).
  4. Think I seen on Kieran's Facebook page he is on standby to be number 8 so probably not racing. The good thing is they can probably give Jye a while longer to see how he is nearer start time if it's close to racing or not.
  5. Funny results between GB and Russia. Both teams 5-1'd Poland and Australia, 4-2'd Sweden and Germany and had a 3-3 with Denmark (with a different race partner).
  6. It was your fellow Newcastle fan who brought the point up about the function running out not me. I had no idea if Newcastle had another 28 day facility or not but as another Newcastle fan has basically said, if they have it should have been confirmed to the fans before Sunday's meeting. #justsayinglike Since I have taken exception could you explain why Newcastle fans are saying that a 28 day facility run out after 29 days. Could you confirm what facilities are available to teams when a rider takes time out/retires? Could you also confirm what other teams have had an extension to the facility for a rider retiring?
  7. Not sure what you are on about as it is the Ipswich home match where the facility would have started (on 6th May) not the Ipswich away match (26th April) or the Sheffield home meeting (April 29th). Newcastle had an injury guest for Sheffield but Lewis retired/ took time out the next day (April 30th). As I said earlier could you tell me what facility was used for the Ipswich home match (Kevin Doolan guesting and RR for Stuart) if it wasn't the start of the 28 days?
  8. The comment was mainly aimed at Ruffdiamond with his car-park comment. However in a 28 day period there is four Sundays. Newcastle v Berwick was the fifth Sunday
  9. It will be 7 days at the "end of a meeting". You are already there for a meeting in the first place. Some teams have a licence to run once a week. They don't get stopped by the council saying you run last Sunday so you are not allowed to run this Sunday.
  10. According to the speedway star (dated May 5) Dale Allitt was shocked when he received a call from Lewis on the Thursday when "it was obvious there were big problems". This will be the night at Ipswich (April 26th). They changed their team on the Friday morning (April 27th). Newcastle had 2 guests against Sheffield on Sunday 29th April (M. P. Toft and L. Kerr). The 2 riders missing from their team were Stuart and Lewis. He then said on the Monday (30th April) he was taking time out from the sport. Could you advise me what facility Newcastle had against Ipswich on 6th May if it wasn't the start of the 28 day facility because he obviously had no intention of racing?
  11. Can I use your calculator the next time I go on holiday? When I was away I paid for 7 nights and that was from Tuesday night to Monday night. The airport parking was for 8 days though.
  12. I have said Newcastle first used the facility against Ipswich on 6th May. If that was day 1 then would day 28 not be 2nd June at Berwick. I would have thought day 29 would be 3rd June (Newcastle's home meeting with Berwick). Berwick fixture would be the 5th Sunday so day 29 (you don't get 5 Sundays in any 4 week spell as far as I am aware).
  13. How did Newcastle have a facility for Lewis Rose at Newcastle? He announced on his twitter on 30th April he was taking time out so that is more than 28 days ago. Kings Lynn changed their team on 30th April. Even if its taken from the 1st meeting he missed for Newcastle (6th May against Ipswich) the facility should have run out at Berwick on Saturday night. You need to include the 6th May as day 1 so day 28 will be 2nd June (not the 3rd).
  14. Can see 2,3 and 4 being swapped around for Berwick. Kev been going good at 2 so would think he will stay there. Would think Lindgren would be at 1 for Newcastle (think Tero is top of this year only Newcastle averages).
  15. Did you go to Newcastle and Berwick to see the easy Sheffield victories since the teams are not competitive? I was at both and cannot remember what the scores were.
  16. Is Nielsen a heat leader? Thought you got guests for heat leaders but not second strings (unless more than one missing).
  17. I don't think John is racing in Sweden tomorrow night either so he must be "ill".
  18. What is the preferred option at Rye House? According to the SGB website the Rye House riders were born in 76, 78, 82, 84, 86, 88 and 97 (usual line up after injury). The Berwick riders were born in 80, 82, 88, 91, 94, 94 and 95. I would say the Berwick team is younger than the Rye team.
  19. The junior lads have all shown great progress over the last season or so. Great to see them celebrating with the 3rd bend gang and enjoying their laps of honour.
  20. Berwick didn't seem to get much. Both Berwick riders warned when they moved 2nd and 4th before the tapes went up (as seen by Kev's reaction when he came to the tapes for the re-run). If it was Jakobsen to blame, why was the race not just allowed to continue as he was in last place and the front 2 were not involved. Not sure why Jye was excluded. Morris got away with a flyer in heat 14. Even Luke in the junior meeting was bouncing of the home straight fence after a coming together (great to see him still get the pass later in the race).
  21. Did Bradley race at Berwick last season for your team? Cannot think he was there the 2 times Peterborough raced at Berwick to see how he performed last season.
  22. How is it a stupid rule? Last season there were lots of riders racing 1 night, ill another night and racing the next night. The rules have been changed to stop this as it's the fans who loose out when the riders pick what meetings they race in (the riders caused the rule change). The way they can get round it is you get away with your first illness and then get 7 days off for other times you are ill.
  23. It shouldn't matter. If the rulebook says you should be off for 7 days you should be missing for 7 days. Was it not brought in to stop riders picking and choosing their meetings (Lakeside are receiving a facility for him).
  24. I thought the first meeting was the 50th season spectacular which Claus won?
