  1. Thanks. Was getting the U21's and sprint race muddled up. Thanks. Confused myself with the sprint race and U21's.
  2. Is there not a sprint race in Torun? This slightly adds interest to a round. I must have got mixed up because if there was then Robert could get 24 points from the round.
  3. Possibly the case. It's the same with Leicester dropping Drew Kemp for Cookie. Leicester team only fitted into the averages at the start of the season with Drew's 25% reduction from last season (from being a fast track rider). He was then replaced on his full average (which the Leicester team would be illegal at the start of the season). This therefore isn't helping fast track riders.
  4. Not really Leicester's fault the meeting at Kings Lynn was cancelled various times. They also had to re-arrange other meetings to help with fixtures. Sheffield have also got the last home meeting so it looks like a compromise to me (Sheffield had the chance at Kings Lynn to confirm top spot). Sure Ipswich would have preferred Sheffield as it would have given Emil an extra week. Sporting integrity probably goes out the window when the team that finishes top doesn't win the league. Sporting integrity goes out the window when the 8th qualifier wins the British grand prix. Sporting integrity goes out the window when a world champion doesn't get to defend his title.
  5. Seen yesterday that Emil was looking to test today or tomorrow to see if he could race on Sunday. Wonder if he was on track today? Torun putting no pressure on him to race.
  6. Just reading what Simon Stead said on the Sheffield website about the Birmingham meeting. “I just thought the lads all stepped up really well together and they all felt a lot happier with the track too. “Graham (Trollope - Track Curator) and his team have spent a lot of time lately trying to turn it back around and I thought it rode superbly on Thursday and long may it continue.” That says to me that the track was different last Thursday compared to the previous week or am I reading it wrong?
  7. Not sure how it worked out that Magic went out? All 4 riders equal on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. In the head to head section Magic and Robert should have went through (beat 2 other riders). If you then use rankings it would be Bewley who goes out against Vaculik or if you still use head to head then Vaculik would go out against Bewley. Glad I'm on holiday and didn't bother going.😀
  8. Just as ridiculous is the fact this will be Berwick's 12th home meeting of the season. If my maths is correct and it is Graham Hunter tonight then 3 referee's will have done 7 of those meetings.
  9. Along with Freddie. Another guest required.
  10. Freddie seems to be missing his first meeting next Monday? He is not listed in the Birmingham team on the Ipswich website anyway.
  11. There are various ways to look at riders points totals. I look at it as how many points you score against an opponent in the other team. Last night Jye scored 7 and Danyon scored 6 so you would normally say Jye was better than Danyon. The way I look at it says Danyon was better as he beat an opposition rider 4 times and lost to an opposition rider 4 times whereas Jye beat an opposing rider 3 times and lost 5 times (due to Danyon beating his teammate 2 times and Jye beating his teammate 4 times). Drew also beat an opposing rider 2 times and lost 4 times. To me two riders scoring 4 points (1 point each race) might not be the same. Rider A scores 4 points (gets 1 point from being 5-1'd 4 times) and rider B scores 4 points (gets 1 point each race and the team scores 4-2 each time). Rider A loses 8 times to an opponent whereas rider B wins 4 times and loses 4 times to an opponent.
  12. Is the meeting at Kings Lynn? That is the heats for a home number 1, not an away number 1.
  13. Well done to both teams. I am really confused as when Josh Pickering was racing for Edinburgh and he moved at the start (missed the start), the race was stopped and he was given a warning as it was the rule according to the referee. Josh was moving last night and the referee let the race go and warned him after the race. How is this possible as we were told at the Edinburgh match that a new rule was introduced that didn't allow this to happen (didn't see it in the rulebook). I also thought you couldn't have your back wheel spinning before the tapes go up but I am obviously wrong there as well.
  14. Source please. I must be imagining things as I thought Berwick had used the automated starts for their four home meetings so far.
  15. To be fair, they probably need to do something with the averages (remove loopholes for a start). Robert Lambert has a 9.6 average from 6 meetings and he is guesting for a rider on 8.6 (Tai 8.47 from 8 meetings). You also have Tarasenko on a 6.9 average for Peterborough joining the championship on a 5 average. These 2 moves could win the leagues in both divisions. Back to the meeting and looking good for Scunthorpe to progress.
