  1. Quite right, you are entitled to an opinion... your opinion is the wrong opinion on this occasion.
  2. Are you being stubborn to avoid admitting your statements of last night were wrong, it's ok to reflect and admit you may have got it wrong Philip. Why can't you get this? Yes Robert passing Emil was always going to be a tall order, but if Tai was in front of Emil placing his bike in awkward positions for Emil then it gave Robert a tiny additional chance to get through. He wasn't that far off as it was anyway, so throw Tai into the mix and who knows.
  3. He was a promoter in the true sense of the word.
  4. All good questions.... It's not about lambasting Woffy, but it would be interesting to find out what went wrong in that final.
  5. Well if that assumption was correct, I would say what a stupid time to make the point.
  6. Some people seem to think it's black or white with Tai (or nay rider). It's perfectly possible to like someone and call them out for getting something wrong. That's all the vast majority on here have done, it's nothing to do with being Tai haters.
  7. It's not about being Tai haters. A team in the World Cup can with every single match, but if they get the tactics wrong in the final and lose then all those wins count for nothing. Perhaps you should have a word with yourself. Most people have praised Tai for his efforts, myself included, all we are saying he got the tactics wrong in the final. That's not 'hating' that's merely observation.
  8. Not actually seen it mentioned, but fair play to Russia. Although they pipped us at the final post, there was only a point between us and they are worthy winners.
  9. So only former riders are allowed to comment. Decades of watching speedway counts for nothing?
  10. Agreed, but it was second and third so we need to have the discussion, it's not unfair to suggest Tai got the tactics wrong.
  11. Yes I suggested similar the other day. But I agree with this, it deserves another go with a bit of tweaking.
  12. But effectively Tai did nothing to manipulate that situation. It might not have worked, but he didn't try. The only defence for Tai is if Rosco had not fully explain the final scoring system. But despite him CLEARLY getting the tactics wrong in that final race, Tai deserves much, much credit for his work this week.
  13. But surely as he did in an earlier race, had he held back and tried to clamp Emil down to give Robert a better chance. You've watched a lot of speedway, I am surprised you cant see that. Of course, easy for us armchair fans to make such observations, but if the same format is in place next year we need to learn from this.
  14. He's been brilliant, but in that final he got the tactics wrong. Nothing wrong with saying that, doesn't take away from his brilliance all week.
  15. I think tai's been superb all week, but I think he got that wrong in the final. Was he aware that we needed 2nd and 3rd? If so then he should have settled for second and tried to slow Emil. But otherwise, fair play to Tai for a superb tournament.
  16. Had other manager stuck with Cook for a couple more rides then we may not be in the final. So actually, I am not talking rubbish., But then again you have shown time and time again you value nobody's opinion but your own.
  17. Would other managers have made that early cool with Cook and Lambert? I don't think they would, so Rosco deserves credit for this win if it happens as much as Tai.
  18. Despite what happens in the final, this event should be in the calendar every year.
  19. Fair play to Cook, he could be sulking but he's there patting the boys off and cheering them back in. I think he deserves credit for that.
  20. What a load of rubbish. Give the man some credit. As for Pearson commentating his usual shambolic performance. In that last race screaming Lingren had made a flyer when it was Lambert then shouting Team GB edging closer to a medal.. when in fact we have already secured a medal, with two rides left we cant drop out the top three now.
  21. Brilliant by Tai and Robert. But a bit like test cricket, you can't win it on day one, but you can lose it. We haven't lost it, but we have not won it yet, all to do tomorrow but we have a really good chance.
  22. He did superbly there, but no need for the sarcasm, in the previous race he didn't look at all until the very end (although doubt would have helped).
  23. Fair play to Tai there, he team rode brilliantly there. Brilliant racing.
  24. I accept the important thing was for Tai to win the race, but I don't think he looked once until the race was over. But maybe that was his instruction, I don't know.
