  1. Rubbish. You sit on a chair, get someone to move it forward a little and ask someone to run at and leap with their arm around your neck. You then come back on here and tell me Greg's move could have only hurt himself.
  2. Exactly, people need to take away the 'who' and focus on the 'what', and there is no defence for Hancock on the 'what'. The way people on Twitter are calling him a hero etc is embarrassing.
  3. That idiot Ward mouthing off on Twitter too. You would think someone with his reputation would be quiet and staying out of things like this. So what did NP do to Ward? Other Ward snippets on the subject.
  4. What a scumbag wishing someone would break their neck.
  5. I do, just watched it on the Facebook link. Nicki is a hard rider, sometimes crossing the line. That does not justify want Hancock did, again I ask if the roles were reversed would you still be saying the same thing? I doubt it.
  6. Idiot. What a stupid thing to say to excuse inexcusable behaviour. A few Twitter comments. Never far from trouble, Ward then commented. Greg did not reply, but tweeted on his own timeline.
  7. Yeah I agree, it's the most interesting thing Greg's done. I think that is far more than a rider punching another though SCB, it's far more serious than what Boyce did to Gollob because what Greg did to what appears like a arm into Nicki's neck was so dangerous and not exactly a racing incident.
  8. Let's debate two things. 1. The crash. Nicki took the rider wide, too wide and was rightly excluded. We have seen that many times in speedway from many riders. Nicki was out of order. 2. What Hancock did after. Having just seen that I have no sympathy, that was a disgusting thing Hancock did, from that camera angle it looks like he charged and leaped at Nicki's neck, could have bloody snapped it. That deserves a long ban for that.
  9. Shows how stupid they are then, Hancock can afford to pay his own fine, so let him. Would he pay a fine for you?

  11. If the roles were reversed then the forum and entire speedway world would be quite rightly calling for Nicki to be banned. So on that basis, it can not be one rule for one and one for another, Hancock deserves a ban for his act of violence, no matter what provocation.
  12. Always makes me laugh when idiots do that for footballers who get fined for various actions. They earn far more than most of us, let them pay their own fines. You can forgive racing incidents, but what whiney Hancock did from that description sounds unacceptable (no matter who the other rider was). I hope Hancock gets a ban, because if it was the other way around you can bet the forum would be in uproar demanding Nicki be banned.
  13. I don't think anyone is questioning Kelvin, just Mr Shouty. It's possible to commentate on sport and still be interesting without shouting like a demented fool. But whilst I would admit he is knowledgeable about aspects of who rides for who and history of speedway, he is not the amazing commentator some make him out to be. Yesterday prime example, he kept getting it wrong after each round of races, in fact he was so muddled at one point he got it right, then corrected himself to give out the wrong information (that each nation had had two rides, when he should have said each rider), he made that mistake a couple of times last night. The same commentator who called the wrong GP winner a couple of seasons back, the same commentator who failed to realise when his mate had won the GP series too until he saw the pictures of him celebrating. We all make mistakes, but they are pretty big mistakes for a so called highly rated commentator. But like we all know, speedway is job for boys. Anyway, I am off to play Mr Shouty Bingo.... 'It's all very tight' 'He's gone square' and new for 2015.... 'Well, well, well'
  14. I don't think it is that, it is his experiences and technical knowledge. When I watched it back you could see the wheel seemed to bounce slightly after the incident, so I assume Tatum having had it happen before must have sensed the type of impact and the resulting wheel bounce he perhaps made an educated guess at the spokes all damaged. Tatum's technical knowledge is fantastic (IMO) and he sense and see's things many others don't.
  15. Agreed. I think the jokers are unfair (it punishes the team that are doing the hard work of winning), but if they have to be kept for the TV people then they need to tweak it that all four teams can use one joker up to heat 16. Again this brings the managers skill into play and it remains fair for all (all four teams get one opportunity to double points).
  16. Hardly.... well, depends what you want it for. Eurosport is part of the Sky package, so technically no subscription fee's there or you can access the online Eurosport player for £5.99 a month, bit of a bargain if you watch a couple of speedway meetings, so not extortionate. If you refer to Sky, well it's not cheap but I tend to break it down this way. How much to go to the cinema? How much to rent films via Lovefilm? How much to go to speedway for the night, how much to go to a Premier League match? I have the full Sky package, and whilst I don't use it every night, I perhaps watch at least one football/cricket match, one movie and one speedway match a week plus other stuff. So actually it's not that extortionate at all. Plus I have not paid full price for Sky for a couple of years now, got it at half price which seems much more of a bargain, but even full price it breaks down pretty well.
  17. I like Kelvin, his technical knowledge is second to none. I think that's the only problem with the SWC week (Pearson overload)... once a week is generally enough.
  18. As it happened it did not benefit the Aussies. But I agree, that needs to go and in comes a fifth rider reserve next season.
  19. I only started watching in 82 (as a young pup). I am sure there are dangers in every job, but they usually don't include racing at about 60mph on machines with no brakes. I am not suggesting he cuts them off, I am just asking the question how dangerous could it be.
  20. Always one... What would you have liked, what deems classic racing in your eyes?
  21. Forgive me if this was discussed anywhere else. I have never seen a rider with long hair protruding out the back of a helmet like Swden's Lindback had again this evening, like much of the season. Is that not a danger (for him mainly)? I am surprised there is not some ruling about it needing to be tied within the helmet in case of an accident and it being sucked into a wheel or something. I grimace seeing Hancock's arm getting sucked into a bike in the SGP last season, and I assume it would be much easier for hair to get tangled somewhere in the event of a crash.
  22. What an amazing meeting, all those moaning about a wet rain off that is why it was best to postpone. A speedway RACING meeting of the finest order on a dry track. That is why we love speedway, racing out of the top draw, riders throwing bikes at each other with no holds barred. A good example of why we must get a fifth reserve rider back for next season. How we escaped without a rider being injured I don't know, but had it happened it would have ruined an amazing meeting. Sweden worthy winners, although shame it ended with an exclusion for Denmark. I wonder if the Aussies still want to defend Ward, or ask him hard questions about why he was not there with them on track tonight! Nicki was off form tonight, (I wonder if people will have a go at him like they did Harris the other night). Perhaps for Denmark this is another reason not to cede the hosts, they need track time. If the hosts have to be ceded then they must go to the race-off, not the final. Why did Pearson kept going on about every nation having one ride (after 4 races) and two rides (after 8 races)? Fantastic speedway, I just wish every meeting was like this. I can't remember when I have seen racing like that in a long time. Exactly, I waited to watch it tonight, so I stayed off speedway sites and I am so glad I did. Had I wanted to know the result I would have looked online. It's a shame it was not shown live, but understandable with so much great sport on TV this afternoon.
  23. It's choice though. Want it, pay, don't want to pay, don't get. I pay for the full Sky Sports package, yet don't get the big boxing matches which are pay per view. I choose not to pay, which is my personal choice.
  24. Eurosport is not Sky! How much would flying to Denmark cost you? How much would a SWC ticket cost you? Personally being a cheapskate armchair fan I'll wait until 7pm and watch as live.
  25. Everybody wants everything for free these days.
