  1. BT sport are doing a fine job, but come on, seriously is there nobody better to work with Kelvin than that guy they use now. Woeful commentator, shown again tonight, every race is a 'big race' every win is a 'big three points'. Talking about Kyle Howarth being hurt in a crash... imagine being his family watching the BT Sport coverage tonight and now panicking perhaps.
  2. Don't be such a prat to suggest he would fencing anyone. Clearly he is not perhaps spatially aware but I don't believe any of those moves were deliberate. Accidents happen. One question for Leicester though. Why are all the track staff standing there looking at Pawel laying on the track, I counted at least half dozen at one point. FFS give the rider and the ambulance staff space you moronic ghouls.
  3. But he chose to turn his back on Team GB, so he wasn't and we didn't.
  4. It wasn't me saying this.... But I of course fully endorse these comments. I missed the final but just watched the race off and it was like he was the Team USA press officer touting for jobs for them.
  5. Easier said than done, off top of my head these are all needed... - A decent track shape conducive for racing - A well prepared track - Teams with riders of similar levels? Not something easy to create across all tracks and teams. To be fair, change can take time.
  6. Bt Sport coverage is pretty good. Only thing to improve is the commentator who spends every race screaming rather than actually commentating.
  7. He shouldn't have to ride here if he doesn't want to, but all riders who used British speedway to become the riders they are should 'want' to ride here.
  8. I just found this interview with Woffinden, which for balance I want to share. Most of you will be aware of it, but I wasn't and this puts things into a different perspective. The only thing I would add though, Woffinden's motives were right in organising the fitness stuff, but it's worth mentioning he is not the team manager, so maybe he should have planned it alongside Rosco (it's not clear if he did). Also did he arrange it on a day and time that worked for all riders? It sounds like he was right in what he tried to do, but maybe went about it the wrong way?
  9. Some people only want to be surrounded by sycophants.... perhaps that's Tai's issue?
  10. He shows his unprofessionalism with all the others... but this I think many of us kind of assumed, but I am surprised he vocalised it.
  11. aah that explains it. I had looked earlier and I couldn't see what he had done wrong.
  12. The top Aussie is Chris Holder. He took a year out if memory serves, but apart from that he's been an ever present in the UK for his entire speedway career. Hardly a bus stop.
  13. Mmm, are you just looking for a dig at the forum? I don't recall the forum being negative at all as the meeting went on. Without question, we would benefit from his experience in Poland, but I don't want a rider who isn't prepared to ride for the cause. He can not be allowed to pick and choose. So yes we may get battered in the final, but at least those riders will be riding because they want to represent Team GB.
  14. You are aware that Poland are seeded because they are hosts, not because they are champions?
  15. Why is Pearson and Tatum still banging on that Hancock stood down to give youngsters a chance, they make it sound like he did something for the good of Team USA kids, he did it for the good of Greg Hancock and nobody else.
  16. Well compared to Poland, British speedway is no longer that entertaining. But Kings Lynn is a good race track, the problem is that tonight is a two horse race because of the farce of seeding hosts.
  17. I love the SWC, but the sporting spectacle is being diminished in two areas. 1 - Joker makes it a farce. 2 - The hosts should not be seeded to the final, let them earn the right to be there (I said same last year when Team GB were seeded).
  18. Pearson.. "he's getting a standing ovation"... the camera pans to the crowd who are all sat down. This is the downside of the hosts being seeded to the final. It does see fans robbed slightly of seeing Poland ride this year in the SWC week.
  19. Not sure it's much further than when he rode for Belle Vue.
  20. Not sure he's sticking his finger up. He wanted a holiday, at least he was honest about it, I just don't agree with him doing that. Unlike Hancock who people seem to believe his excuse that he wanted to give the kinds chance. He's an OAP, I don't mind him saying he wanted a mid-season rest in his older years, but don't trot out the same lame excuse he used last season to avoid coming to Belle Vue.
  21. This is right. I used to see a lot of snobbery from Elite League fans on here in the past. Good racing is not exclusive to SGP stars. That said, on another subject even if we get tanked tonight or this week I hope Tai is not allowed to walk back into the team next season. He can't be allowed to pick and choose when he rides for Team GB, you're either part of the team or you're not.
  22. The GP tonight was everything that is good about the sport I fell in love with thirty years ago. Fantastic, exciting hard racing, with riders throwing bikes at each other and then shaking hands afterwards. If only every meeting was like this. Edit: It was also great to see great sportsmanship twice with riders falling, and getting themselves up and off the track for the other riders to carry on.
