  1. Joking aside. I think you're right. He's long way off his best, and if he's not up for digging in and getting on with it when the tracks are not at their best then he's not going to help Poole.
  2. No... just to be even more spiteful the rest of speedway is coming up with a cunning plan that means new rules for 2018. No new riders can take part in British speedway after 12th April 2018.
  3. How would that impact on his visa application for the UK? I don't know how they work, but would he just not apply for a working visa from the point the ban ends?
  4. You say spiteful... others say 'fair', 'justified', 'just-deserts'.
  5. But it's ok, don't worry yourself SteveO, he made a quick recovery, bless him.
  6. He should have kept his mouth shut! Shame not longer... http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5963/nine-month-uk-ban-for-holder
  7. Good.... we may get a racer instead. #NoMoreHanCOCK I can't believe some of you want to give a wildcard to a man who will be 48 next season. Hardly the future of the SGP is he? Go with the future.
  8. That doesn't answer the question. Why is it right that other riders are left with no team, provided the two whinging Aussies get sorted out?
  9. Holder stitched himself up. But everybody using this naff defence seems unable to answer this... If they had been given 24 hours and both get fixed up with other clubs, what about the two riders they replaced? Would it be fair on them? No. So the buck needs to stop with the two riders who messed their own club around. Holder and Batchelor appear to have stitched themselves up. Simple.
  10. In his opinion, clearly not all the riders deemed it to be so. Him then laughing on Twitter to a KL fan that they 'won't win anything' all shows more about Holder and his own attitude to Kings Lynn.
  11. Ok, so lets say they were told 24 hours before, snapped up by the likes of Poole or Swindon.... what happens to the two riders they replace? Would we be calling Poole and Swindon spiteful? Don't kid yourself that Holder or Batchelor are here doing everything they do because they care about Kings Lynn and British Speedway, they're not, they are here for themselves, and their actions led to this sorry state of affairs. So get off your high horse calling Champan vindictive, and start looking a little closer at what led to this happening, and the starting point is the actions of those riders.
  12. Good, about time somebody stood up to these overseas riders who think they can use British speedway and get away with it.
  13. His dealing of the two Aussie whingers seems to suggest he can take decisive leadership decisions when he needs to. It was the managers job to manage and lead the team.
  14. Don't kid yourself, fans are fickle and stupid... just look at Poole fans.
  15. Yes, they usually scream 'Gooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllll' which is sort of describing what is actually happening. Pearson screaming ''wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooo' could mean absolutely anything.
  16. Are you seriously suggesting when Pearson screams 'Wooooooooooooooo' that is describing the action? We can assume something close or interesting happened, but we don't know what until he stops screaming.
  17. Can't blame him, how is a referee meant to focus when Pearson is screaming like a demented fool all night!
  18. I was thinking about them bringing Hancock in not so long ago.
  19. A - No... they are only annoyed they couldn't get a team place elsewhere, they were not bothered about the riders they would replace and who then be left in the lurch (each man for themselves with these Aussies) B - A deadline created because a certain team, not too far from the south coast would always seem to strengthen due to ruder 'injuries' in time for the play off.
  20. True, but lets hope promotors remember their abuse of the BSPA and this tarnishes them for employment next season and beyond. Like I said in another thread, so many sycophants on Twitter all of whom are siding with these two idiots when they take pops at British speedway, failing to realise that Holder and Batchelor are not in this to save British speedway or make positive suggestions to help British speedway, they are only looking out for themselves.
  21. I agree. If Sky do come back, both of these need to be retained. Natalie is fantastic (best speedway presenter we have had in a long time), like you say knowledgeable and asks the right questions at the right time, and also personable. The round up of footage is a great addition. In theory this could be added to for more coverage during track grading by including round up and best of the action from Championship (if rights allowed). Also maybe a general news round up, for example the Kings Lynn stuff could be touched upon, injured rider updates etc.
  22. Is it still in the contractual pipeline that Sky might take it back?
  23. I appreciate some people posting have an agenda, but to say that was a poor meeting is tosh. We have had far, far worse meetings on TV (usually those shown from Poole).
  24. I never got this weird way how people defend poor quality television with the defence, 'at least we have speedway on TV'. Yes we have speedway on TV, but the others are right, the coverage was not keeping up with the bikes in key moment tonight. Fundamental stuff. Nothing wrong with wanting 'quality TV' for our speedway coverage.
  25. You just typing rubbish to be a jerk. Not the best meeting, but there is passing as Thomas H just shown. I have seen far, far worse meetings.
