You seem a little short of facts.. Batchelor didn't walk out.. he had a medical certificate. Although for being abusive to British speedway on Twitter this afternoon, I hope it does signal the end of his British speedway career. Other Kings Lynn riders went out and did ride after the track prep... Holder is the only one who didn't, hence the ban.

Joking aside. I think you're right. He's long way off his best, and if he's not up for digging in and getting on with it when the tracks are not at their best then he's not going to help Poole.

No... just to be even more spiteful the rest of speedway is coming up with a cunning plan that means new rules for 2018. No new riders can take part in British speedway after 12th April 2018.

How would that impact on his visa application for the UK? I don't know how they work, but would he just not apply for a working visa from the point the ban ends?
