  1. Even if it pushes the club to the verge of bankruptcy. Perfect logic that
  2. I thought Richard Hall had finished speedway due to financial reasons?
  3. No you're missing my point, I keep seeing that certain riders are too expensive and from the lay persons perspective I would like to know what they call BIG points money. Incidentally footballers wages and most of there pay deal is common knowledge, so why not speedway, as third hand that's who pay the riders through the turnstiles and supporters clubs etc. Perhaps a little more transparency would be good for the sport?
  4. Just out of interest, what do "some people' call BIG points money?
  5. No chance of Maggy coming back, you think Klint is too expensive 😂
  6. Auty, Howe, Klindt, Douglas, Holder, Perks, Nike
  7. Havvy can be charming, more often or not he says it how it is. If you don't like it, put up or shut up. It seems Lawson & Summers put up! Hey, onwards and upwards, there are other riders of equal ability who can do the job.
  8. What's everyone's thoughts on Thomas Jorgensen in for Redcar? I think it'll be a good move, hoping he can maintain his for as he was good when visiting with Scunthorpe and made the final in the individual meeting, gating is top notch
  9. Former manager and then promoter at Hull some years ago, currently Scunthorpe manager. Nice guy
  10. Fair point, all race winners on their day. Fingers crossed the team can match up to the fan base expectations
  11. That lòóks like decent team to me, could you explain why it's not a winning team?
  12. Thomas needs to move on, personally and professionally. He's a quality rider, with quality people around him. He's buying brand new equipment for 2015, also looking to do grasstrack & longtrack too. Exciting times ahead for Thomas. Going to miss him @EWR though 😵
  13. Now that right there is a team with one exception, replace Summers with Thomas Jørgensen and it looks good. Would love to see Wilko regularly around the showground
  14. And that is why British speedway is a joke! With rain forecasted why oh why was it not started @19.15hrs? Farce that the meeting steward called it off
  15. With respect, Thomas needs to move on, he has become stale. He's not fulfilling his true potential, he has a lot more to offer. I feel a move would do him good. I did see him grasstrack racing, he was really good, did three meetings and won two of them. Maybe that will help his speedway who knows?
  16. Totally disagree, he gets in the way of his team mates, has no words on set ups to the team and does nothing for morale.
  17. Douglas is too inconsistent as in, he is on the edge all time win it or bin it merchant and his machinery is in poor condition and not maintained. Birks is not a team player, doesn't look out for his team mate and is not particularly a good captain. Howe is the same as Birks. Klindt is too inconsistent, a world beater today and then an also ran tomorrow, just doesn't seem to be on his a game and seems to be injury prone. The team I would like to see if it all fitted and worked out in no particular order:- OSTERGARRD WILKINSON JØRGENSEN AUTY © GRAVERSEN BENJI COMPTON SERGEANT Some old faces there but every rider is a "racer"

  19. Disagree, the whole team needs a overhaul. Only two riders that IMO should be kept, Jørgensen & Auty, clear out the rest and start again. They are the only two riders who ride their ass off for Scunny and themselves.
  20. On the outside it looked like a very poor showing from the Scorps, but I can assure you "most" of the team tried their best to get the settings right. Shame that the captain pulled out injured and then went home with the RR tyre, true captains performance that ;-) Oh well I'm sure 2015 will be a different team. Two meetings left, is there any point really?
  21. Absolutely appalling the way the GB manager heckled Thomas Jørgensen and his mechanic on the way back through the pits after the completed ride once his surrogate son had finished throwing his dummy around. Man's a disgrace. Passion is one thing and banter is all part of the sport, but having a go trying to wind up the rider is wrong, virging on bullying
  22. Theres only so long you can carry any rider regardless of how much of a nice bloke they are. The paying supporters will soon lose patience with the blue eyed boys network. Scunthorpe have a good team, it's rare they all fire together, I hope they do soon.
  23. Woeful show by Scunthorpe just woeful. About time Birks got going on track or out the door. Klindt 5 rides away from the GP, errm not on that showing. Well done David Howe, nice riding good to see you getting back to your best.
