  1. Another one of those "toungue in cheek" comments fuelled by your "previous experiences" Wolfcrazy ?? Not a swipe at Oxford this time though.......mind yuo Jason is an Oxford asset !! Only joking
  2. I was a sceptic about this competition and while is has not been hugely succesful I believe it has a part to play. The introduction of several riders has been a huge boost for some tracks. I for one and glad that this competition has given us at Oxford the chance to see Lubos Tomicek at 17 riding for us. It may not have been perfect for the PL tracks but with some refinement could be a good base to build on
  3. Last report was that he is planning to ride in the WTC. I spoke to his mechanic last night and he pretty much confirmed all of the article in the Polish press.
  4. See this astonishing article from the Polish Press. This needs investigating and actions taken NOW !!! Article posted to the speedway list by Roman Chyla Zbigniew Krzystyniak from the PAP (Polish Press Agency) filed recently an update on Lukas Dryml. It says that Lukas most likely will leave the hospital at Vrchlabi in Eastern Czech Rep. by the end of this week. He was brought there by his father, Ales, after most horrific speedway accident seen by millions of TV viewers around the world at Krsko GP. Lukas is being taken care of by a group of local doctors who are led by Vladimir Dryml, Lukas' uncle, and the hospital's managing director. I have not seen the crash on the video - said Lukas to TV Nova reporter, and I don't remember it. What I do remember is that before the race I agreed with my father that the best bet for me will be to finish on 4th place, which will give me the best starting position in the decisive heat. Next thing I knew, I woke up in hospital. His father, Ales, also well known speedway rider in his time, added that his son's life was saved by incredible luck and the best quality helmet money can buy. The talented young Czech rider suffered concussion, broken nose, lost some teeth and is bruised all over. The doctors managed to get swelling down from his face, mainly around eyes. Lukas is still suffering from a head ache, buy believes that in two weeks time will be able to be back on his bike again. Peter Moravec, The Dryml Team manager, said that he intends to file an official complain to the FIM for unsatisfactory level of medical care on Krsko track. If it was not for Lukas father, the young Czech would most likely never regained consciousness. Ales Dryml, the senior, reluctantly admits that his son was already having a fit and only by pulling out his son's tongue, Lukas is still alive. What I went through with the Slovenian doctors is the worst thing that has happened to me in my whole life, admitted Ales Dryml. Instead taking care of my son, for more that one and a half hours they were arguing what to do next, and to top this up, for the next half an hour they were filling in the forms. Peter Moravec added that immediate help on the Krsko track came from Lukas father and - luckily - a Slovenian nurse who was following strict orders from Ales. Apparently she was ( on the track) the only representative of the medical team
  5. Why, is it at Eastbourne ??? As its not I certainly wouldn't consider Norris, time to take the chance the chance on the youngsters. GB aren't going to win it so I would say give the young lads the experience of a week long event and prepare for the future
  6. With respect Kevin, are you serious ?? Don't know about you but I feared ther very worst...........and you question how long he is going to be out !! Get real !
  7. News direct from the hospital in Slovenia is the Lukas Dryml has suffered 4 broken teeth, 2 black eyes and a broken nose. He is expected to be out of action for around 3 weeks. Given the crash he suffered, a very lucky boy I suggest !!
  8. Believe me, tonight was a horrendous night. I have to say I feared the worse and 80 odd people at our BBQ including the wife of Lukas' mecahnic (who mothers Lukas when he is here) were extremely worried. Thank god the news appears to be good, this GP meant nothing to me, please sort out the safety in our sport. First Lol and now such a horrendous crash involving Lukas, something HAS to be done !!
  9. Is anything being done to make the viewing better for this meeting. £18 to see sod all from the dismal terraces is a bit steep.
