Cardiff Parking
Chris Brown replied to Matt Davis's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Whenever I go to the football (which I do for every Wales game) I park in the multi storey by the prison. When you see the castle on your right as you enter Cardiff turn left and follow the signs. I'm going on the train to meet up with a coach party who are going on Friday. Early start though, 7am ish out of Oxford -

Oxford Speedway would like to make supporters aware of the fact that for this meeting on Friday 11 June, the night before the British GP we will be offering a £1 discount to any fan who shows his/her ticket for the British GP the following day. Why not use this fixture as an opportunity to see all 3 levels of racing in the UK over the GP weekend, with Conference League at Oxford on Friday, the GP on Saturday and a number of opportunities to see Premier League racing on Sunday

Referees decisions
Chris Brown replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Surely you are joking about Pedersen's move on Greg. I haev not critiscised Nicki in the past but this was pure crazy. I really do worry that he is going to hurt someone. Hard riding is acceptable but what Nicki done tonight is not. I can't beleive we are talking about this incident in a thread about referee's decisions. The referee made the only decision to be made in this case. -
CZ Golden Helmet '04 - Who is going ?
Chris Brown replied to jeffster's topic in International World of Speedway
That place we stayed at last year Jeff was DOUBLE the price by booking through Motylek than by booking direct with the hotel. The tariff was just so much lower once you were there. Pension Klara is a small pension in a side street opposite the Park Hotel and Casino very close to Strossmayerovo Namesti -

I'll be there as you know. There's 15 of us this year (getting more each year) on Brown's Tours. 14 are coming out on Thursday to Tuesday but sadly I cannot arrive until Saturday. Flight lands in Prague at 9am, so with a quick cab and a couple fo hours on the train I may just make the Junior Helmetat 12pm. Haven't booked a hotel yet, I'll let you know where we are staying. Did you say Helen wasn't going this year............just you on your own ?? -
I believe when we left Marketa after the Tomicek memorial the trams stop at midnight. Buses so run after this but not trams

You won't need a cash machine. A little money will go a very long way

2004 GP WILD CARDS
Chris Brown replied to tricky dicky's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Having just had my first experience of Pardubice at the recent Golden Helmet and seen 31 races with 6 riders and just ONE re-run then I would suggest there is no better place to run it but there. -
Bet you haven't got a hat worth 15 grand though !!!

Just arrived back from a superb weekend. Star of the Golden Ribbon for me was Adrian Medzinski who looks very impressive. It should be said that Sullivan passed Crump to win the final and Ales Dryml fell in the final while challenging Lee Richardson or 3rd. The Lubos Tomicek memorial was not such a good meeting but was won by Bo Brhel. Highlight for me was Lubos Tomicek celebrating liek he had become World Champion after being one of only two riders to beat Brhel at Prague. Not many do that, let alone a 17 year old !!

Anyone going to the Golden Helmet this weekend ?? I have a group of 14 going independantly with another 8 or so from Oxford with the Travel Plus Tour. If anyone is then maybe amongst the madding crowd we could meet. We'll be easy to spot in the stadium in the 'Team Dryml' gear.
-
He was also Jason Crump's spanner man the year Crump was at Oxford in 1998

When I was out there a year ago for the U21 Final we took in the Czech Republic v Yugoslavia footy international. That was a price 100 Czech Crowns for the best ticket in the main stand over the half way line...........the price in GBP is 2.20. Just proves that everythniog is cheap out there. Counting down to me first visit to the Czech Golden Helmet

Not a chance !! His ego will not allow him to resign even though he should

Will Middlo step down??
Chris Brown replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
That comment says it all!! Well I was certainly one who thought he had got it wrong with the team he picked but hands up to the guy, he got the very best out of a team that on paper shouldn't have made the final really. Happy to be proved wrong on this one, well done the Brits -
