I am sure this could be confirmed as John's daughter is a regular contributor to the forum.

Does he not have to make a choice though?? As it appears he is Danish for this one and British for the CL which he could ride in as a Dane
-
Not sure of any other details other than that Lukas Dryml won the qualifier today with a 15 point maximum in Pardubice

Chris Brown replied to Dave Stummings's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't worry Sandie. I had done my homework before I booked and had confirmation from Lubos and Tony Skach that the Golden Helmet was the 6th. I posted this to the International Thread. -

Czech Golden Helmet 2007
Chris Brown replied to zlata prilba's topic in International World of Speedway
Does anyone know 100% sure what the date is the the Zlata Prilba. Lubis Tomicek says its on the 7th, Toni Skack's excellent http://www.speedwaya-z.cz/ site says the 14th. Speedwayworld.tv still says the German GP is on the 6th. Its just I am booking 18 flights and don't want to get the wrong weekend -

Quite right, they have no choice. I am certainly aware of one rider who had he not fulfilled his commitments would have had his internationsal licence suspended. Its a shame that someone comes on here slating riders with absolutely no idea at all what they are on about. Time for an apology from Mr/Mrs Star Ghost

Tickets For Cardiff 2007
Chris Brown replied to falconnet's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Of course it will be a rip off, but as long as we all keep going it will continue to be a rip off. Now they want you to believe they are doing you a favour by letting you buy tickets and give them the money 6 months in advance and you can have them at last years massively increased prices over the previous year before they almost certainly massively increase them again I have just bought my season ticket for Wales entire home programme for the Euriop Championship qualifying which covers 6 home qualifying games and it has cost me £60, same seat for each of the 6 games and £60 for the lot. Yet we are ripped off for stupid money for a meeting where the presentation has diminshed each year I have gone and the track is generally shocking. For me the build up to the GP is infinitely better than the actual GP itself. -
Tickets For Cardiff 2007
Chris Brown replied to falconnet's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So you know it going to be one of the first couple of weekends in June. So book hotels for both (which you could have done weeks ago) and then as long as you cancel the one you don´t want then you are sorted. Anyway, why is accommodation got anything to do with tickets -

Rickardsons Farewell
Chris Brown replied to Hansfan's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Go on then Flyin Ryan, who told you that !!! Another, I know something that you don't merchant. Maybe those 'very close sources' at the Showground should keep quiet because they clearly can't trust you !!! -

And team mates at Masarna Avesta this season as well. Ales was well chuffed that Rickardsson had been when I saw him this morning -

Made a trip to Oxford to see Ales in hospital. In fairness that is something he didn't have to do and all credit to him for doing so -
Rickardsons Farewell
Chris Brown replied to Hansfan's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
At least it was announced before the meeting. Last time he was due at Poole I seem to remember it was not announced until everyone had paid their money. While I am no Rickardsson fan, good luck to him, he went up a bit in my estimation yesterday -
A Riders Reputation Preceeeding Him
Chris Brown replied to ruckerroo's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
But an incident should still be judged on its merit not on reputation. Clearly the answer was to go down, maybe if Bjarne Pedersen had gone down the Spinka would have excluded Lee Richardson. Was it only me or is Pearson getting more full of his own self importance. All this crap about 1st bend bunching is a bit annoying. 'See I was right' and ' a number of refereees have said I have a point', who cares to be honest, his job is to commentate not massage his ego on screen. He is a fine commentator and I hope he sticks to that rather than telling us all how great he is -
Bsi Ticketing Policy
Chris Brown replied to lastword's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Same company though Shazzy, BSI !! Having said that £40 to sit in the Millennium Stadium is a bargain compared to £25 to stand on a grass bank at Smallmead. Anyone actually get a free kids ticket who went ??? -

Can't see much chance of the old Pieman running around for anyone Steve Get back to fitness soon Chris, the old man was so proud of you yesterday, it was in his voice when he called to say how you had got on. Remember, it don't really hurt mate, you'll be back amonst it soon enough -
Reading's Back Straight Stand
Chris Brown replied to Dave Stummings's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You are spot on with the fact that there is nothing in it for this meeting for BSI. So it really does beg the question again doesn't it ??? WHY ?? There are probably 10/15 stadiums in the UK operating each week more worthy than the old dung heap. Once the new stadium is in place then I would be all for it but while accepting that there is no apparent financial gain for BSI in holding there you have to admit that was Reading not a BSI owned team there is no way on this earth or the next that this meeting would be staged at Reading. Its not doing British Speedway a lot of favours holding it at Reading, which was not a FIM track either when the decision was made I believe -
With the greatest respect to David who is having a wretched season here at Oxford it shows the lack of strength in depth in British speedway at the moment. This is a longer term concern than anything on here. I would be genuinely interested to hear Neil Middleditch's thoughts on what needs to happen to breed the youngsters who are to be the next generation. The Conference League is sadly shrinking, the Junio League has had the likes of reading pull out already before a match has been run and the youngsters just don't seem to be coming through with the execption of Bridger and Auty. What does the future hold

Lets hope that Kennett manages to get out of Britain for this meeting then. Andy Smith would have I am sure
-
And yet we all bemoan the fact that the Championship of GB has become a meaningless meeting. Now it appears that the GB Team Manager has more power over what happens than the qualifying system. Absolutely farcical !! I know its going back 20 years but the British Final was the highlight of the season for me, a superb meeting that determined WC qualifiers with a top class field. What a shame that the system has been ruined by what is now becoming a circus. Its bad enough that the likes of Protasiewicz get yet another wild card in 2006 but at least that was constraining the bizarre picking system to the GP series itself. Now we have qualification for qualifying rounds being decided by a National Team Manager, reversing decisions on what is decidedon the track. I personally don't care whether Andy Smith is 20, 40 or 60, he went to the meeting, put his all into it and finished in a position in the running order which put him in the top 4 of people wanting to qualify. Richardson had a poor meeting and gets a favour by his mate!!! Has it all gone mad ????

I believe Matt rode at Oxford in the 2nd half last night as well
