  1. Can't believe we are in the best position we've ever been in as a team but the fixtures are a nightmare - fingers crossed the weather is kind getting tougher this time of year.
  2. Take it no news yet on Rassers condition it was a nasty one at high speed
  3. Always had respect for Glasgow as a club and their supporters it aint always been rosy for you guys - Happy to see your club in a positive position
  4. The team done us proud tonight really got stuck in and rode with aggression and looked like the wanted it badly in all the heats - with the future of the club not looking great - lets try and put that to one side if only for a few weeks and go on and win the league! Make this for the late great Ian Thomas!
  5. Tough meeting, on paper harder than the Edinburgh one .... its all in the head and if our lads have the same approach as they did against Edinburgh to pull those points back then we can do this ! 55 - 35 prediction ! Give us a C
  6. despite all the bad weather the track looks good on a pic Steve Lawson posted on Twitter - fingers crossed it stays as it is
  7. Another tough few meetings for the boys hopefully they approach them with the determination they showed against Edinburgh - this won't be easy so need to be on it! Heres to us making the final
  8. Very sad news just been reading Marty’s Facebook such a nice fella met years ago and always had a beer and a crack when we seen him on our travels- sleep tight mate
  9. Positives - good line up and some cracking racing from alot of the lads, good to see Mason look good on track to he impressed me in his early few rides looked the best I’ve seen him in a while good to see Steve Lawson and his team done a great job of the track with minimal disruptions to the meeting top job Negatives - Why can’t we start on time ? I’m a hardcore fan who’s been since 99 and I put up with it but others won’t - it was freezing and the first night back (impress possible new fans) so why do we roll bikes out at about 7:10 / 7:15 whatever it was why? We done it last year and continue to do it ... if this is the case please state 7:30 start time? Coffee on the second bend was basically a health hazard never tasted anything like it in my life! But despite the negatives I love my Speedway and enjoyed the racing, fingers crossed injuries aside I’d like to think our team can push for the playoffs lots of potential
  10. Brilliant signing for the club, exciting rider will be good to watch him progress
  11. Not aware of any of that personally... so cant comment on that side of things. On the times I seen him ride he looked alot more aggressive on the track and would be worth a look at not sure where hes based though!? The clock is ticking and we need to start getting some signatures before we dont have much choice maybe we have behind the scenes we will see?
  12. Nathan Grieves calling out for a team place on Twitter to, looked like he came on a lot last year too.....
  13. Another good night's racings adam roynon impressed and is my rider of the night! Charles wright best performance at Workington he was unreal , and as for Josh G he was as expected Mr entertainment and looked to of won heat 15 easily so was shocked when it was announced Ricky had won?!
  14. Obviously the score aside it was one of the best meetings of the season racing was brilliant Must congratulate Glasgow on the win fully deserved all the riders are clearly riding with confidence and really wanted it,good too see massive away support Not surprised at René and Richard performance around Derwent Park either hope Glasgow go on to win the league now For our lads Ricky and Rasmus were the Stand outs for me Also great to see Stoney back at Workington usual smile on his face along with beer in hand
  15. didn't expect Kyle to return so welcome back to Workington and here to the 2015 season!
  16. Team for 2015 is looking very strong I will not predict how my team will do regards winning trophys or the league as without being biased we always put together a top 4 team imo but as we all know what you start with on paper is difficult to maintain for a whole year. Vissing for the final signing then I say, and it also looks like we are going to have some power in reserve to challenge most teams
  17. So far my 2015 comets who I think will sign are Wells ( a must on his average ) Campton (get him to reserve if possible) Robson ( always enjoyed coming to worky ) Ostergaard ( made a pretty interesting tweet on only a week ago ;-) ) Think these guys would be a solid start to team building, sadly Rene seemed to be abit down don't no wether he was dissapointed in himself or wanting a move but I'd take him back for 2015 all day long top guy and entertainer. I'd be shocked if Josh or Kyle came back but we will see. Joe Jacobs would be worth ago if we could get him , and simon Lambert got my vote for rider of the year the lad came with no confidence at all and to be honest kept us going at times .
  18. Good job, Glasgow some excellent racing and young Joe Jacobs looked good
  19. Can't comment I wasn't there, however I have been informed Redcar fans were using illegal noise tools to help the cause.... ;-)
