  1. Oh wait, sorry, did you mean they wouldn't get a guest for Morris? Apologies, I think that's what you meant.
  2. I've no skin in this game, just a passing interest, but respectfully I don't agree that it's the same thing. I do see your argument but IMO there's a difference because the season hasn't started. If, hypothetically, Cook has quit speedway, I know I know again again, then he's not really withholding his services, he's not available at all to withdraw his services. It's an interesting conundrum.
  3. I don't claim to be a font of knowledge but didn't Plymouth get a guest facility for Niko Cavati (sorry if that spelling is wrong) and he didn't start the season but was in their declared 1-7? He was "genuinely" injured and underestimated how long it would take him to recover IIRC.
  4. As I mentioned a couple of posts back.... what's to stop Cook from telling the BSPA that he's not withholding his services, he's told Berwick to remove him from the team.... if that's what's going to happen of course.
  5. I had a thought about that. Start with Cook technically in the team. Might be a way of "fixing" the situation. Do you actually get a financial fine for withholding your services? Depends on where Cook's head is at. What's to stop him from contacting the BSPA and saying "I'm not withholding my services, I've told them to remove me from the team"?
  6. @IainB Interesting. Wouldn't rule it out. When does Morris' ban end? I'm no expert on the rules but wouldn't Berwick technically have to do the same as Poole and "officially" name a 7th rider? You can't start with guests can you.
  7. I agree with this 100%. I hope Connor isn't lost to the sport but greater than that, much greater, I hope I find peace and happiness.
  8. Bring back the Scottish Open too.
  9. That podcast IMO is always excellent. Two in particular I must recommend, if you haven't listened to them yet, is Sam Ermolenko and Mads Korneliussen.
  10. Just for fun....... James Grieves wouldn't be a 2.00 would he?
  11. Come on then, there's comfort in numbers. Here's the 3rd request to *pin* this 🫣
  12. I understand, probably due to finances, why he stuck with the Speedway GP but objectively he might have had a better chance of becoming Long Track World Champion, if he switched sooner.
  13. Is Ivacic the worst value for points signing ever for the Tigers? 🫣
  14. I do have a chuckle when the camera goes tighter on the riders in their pit, the Monster sponsored ones, easing "Monster Joe" out of shot, despite his vain attempts to hog the limelight. Serious question..... who actually is he? Does he own Monster?
  15. I'd like to see the kids race brought forward to 1915
  16. Ivacic can gate, so hopefully he just needs to place the bike better, which can be learnt.
  17. Are you going to still be local tomorrow evening for the meeting or are you heading home?
  18. I'm surprised we couldn't get anyone to guest. I know it's very very short notice.
  19. It's like fn autumn here today Literally picking up stuff from my garden this morning that had blown over in the gales. Climate change deniers begone.
  20. He caught my eye too with his first couple of rides but then I noticed he didn't change lines at all, irrespective of where anyone else was. Not trying to be over critical of a novice but he'd really have impressed if he had tried a Plan B at any time. Obviously that would come with experience. Fact is Foord looked a better bet than Pijper today.
