  1. Yep, and Jake Allen was very impressive for Scunthorpe. Let's hope that YOU learn - that most of your posts are very tiresome. Every Panthers thread gets polluted by your snidey little pops at Panthers and/or Ged. You're always twisting names into something which you clearly feel is clever/witty, but you just come across as an annoying ar5ehole really. Time to wise up.
  2. GPWM. But coming up with facts and the truth won't make you popular with the numpty-club!
  3. Shame on you for not having the good grace to apologise for your earlier comment about Bomber, or at least to withdraw it.
  4. This is a very good example of the cr4p that pollutes far too much of this forum. It happens all the time; somebody makes a comment based purely on guesswork/wishful thinking - often falling into the trap of fueling their own pet grievances or bias towards/against a particular team. And then other numpties gleefully pick up the baton and run with it. Next thing you know, it's being treated as gospel truth by the numpty-club. Luckily, cityrebel was on hand to torpedo this particular bit of nonsense.
  5. I'm confident that I speak for the vast majority of Panthers fans on here with this response: don't bring your rubbish onto every single Panthers thread. oh how embarrassing for the numpty!
  6. Chris Harris will be down in Kent on Sunday https://www.acu.org.uk/news/2017/08/acu-british-masters-line-up-announced/ And as it's an ACU event it probably takes priority over Panthers' meeting. Hence the R/R facility.
  7. Just for the record, I didn't think it'd be allowed, hence "bollox". I guess we've found your level.
  8. You talk like it was Panthers that stopped the meeting and made the decision to abandon it. It wasn't. This thread is full of people seizing any old stick to beat Panthers with. Not Panthers. And it's been a long, long time since Panthers were able to have anything like 'regular' meetings at the EoES. Oh per-leez! There were no "favours" being done, either by Rye House or by Bomber. A bloke down the pub told me it was 40 grand. Or maybe it was 50.... Of course it was a "meaningful" meeting. But I think some people are forgetting that Panthers actually won the Fours - even without Holder in the team. Turned out to be a good call by Panthers. Or are you suggesting that fans who went to the EoES to support their teams felt somehow shortchanged by the fact that Jack Holder wasn't riding? That's utter bollox! Despite the anti-Panthers whining by some people, deep down they were glad - because it increased their own teams' chances. A lie repeated is still a lie. p.s. I think you meant "bandied about" There's plenty of numpties who post on here, that's for sure. Some can't even express themselves very well. On every page there's some shocking grammar, spelling and incorrect use of words. I guess it's no wonder we get such a lot of ill thought out bile, non sequiturs, and utter bollox on here. Maybe we'll have a whip-round to cover that 30 quid then!
  9. I really don't get all this "pointless meeting" talk. For a start it could be said that a lot of the meetings in the second half of the season are "pointless" if both teams involved have little chance of making the play-offs. But is that any reason no to go, or even be bothered about it? Ok, it would have been great if Panthers' season had mapped out differently and like we'd all hoped - but I'm just happy to be going to a Panthers meeting tonight. And surely every speedway fan(*) should be glad that Panthers are still running. * Yeah, even the saddo w******s who pollute every Peterborough Panthers thread with barely concealed glee at every little problem involving Panthers. It doesn't matter if it's something real or imagined; either way it'll get twisted to suit their snidey, spiteful and often shortsighted comments. UTP
  10. Then it will be yet another case of speedway shooting itself in the foot. p.s. "blue riband event".
  11. So, to all the snidey c***s who were having their usual ill-informed pops at Ged/Panthers: Stick that in your pipes and smoke it!
  12. Bears' fans can relax; it's a safe bet that the texting will get done for this one
  13. I think we're all agreed that Bomber will be a big miss. But it would've been better if you'd added "before that" to your first post ".....He done (sic) well the other week but don't ever remember Grazionek (sic) doing anything special at the showground before that". You could be right about that, but I honestly can't remember. Anyway, looking at the (very short) list of possible guests Josh Grajczonek is the best option. And based on his performance for Sheffield a couple of weeks ago he should be good for 10+ points. It should be a cracking meeting! Why would it?
  14. "Peetabra" What's that, northern monkey-speak for "Peterborough" ?
  15. That's very true - but not in the way you intended. Panthers have been on the receiving end of dodgy rule interpretations many, many times in the past.
  16. much better (as expected by most of us) I'd go along with that Might as well bring in a youngster for Hall. You mean the track that served up some excellent and entertaining speedway? Who's the muppet now?
  17. We all know and understand that protests have to be made within prescribed timescales. The fact remains that it was an incorrect use of the word "potentially" in that sentence. And it was a snidey pop. You're regularly on Panthers' threads doing it; the inclusion of smileys are your convenient get-out.
  18. Who in their right minds would want to eat those chips anyway - whether from the van behind the stand OR from MacD's. The only food of decent quality we ever had at Panthers was the pork burgers/sausages when Grasmere Farms had a van behind the stand. Shame the numpties behind the counter could never get their act together with the cooking and serving
  19. Eh? How can protests be made "potentially" days before the meeting? They either do have to be made a prescribed number of days beforehand, or they don't. I suspect that you meant you're not sure, so "maybe" or "perhaps" or "possibly" or even "I think" would make more sense. Shame your mangled English spoiled your clumsy attempt at a snidey little pop at Panthers/Neil Watson.
  20. Of course Pathers fans will outnumber Glasgow fans. Are you on drugs or something? You obviously found it hard to disguise your glee when you read comments about the crowd being down at yesterday's meeting v Berwick, and it's given you ammunition for more of your snidey little pops at Peterborough Panthers. Fact is, Panthers' attendances have been up and quite healthy all season. Two home meetings in three days is bound to have an effect - despite some people claiming that it shouldn't make any difference. In the real world of course it does; people simply don't budget for speedway in 'off' weeks. Anyway, I'm confident that the attendance will be back to something like 'normal' tomorrow v Glasgow. Peterborough Services? The food there isn't exactly cheap either... and most of it is cr4p. FWIW, my advice is to take a small bag with a nice homemade sandwich and a flask of tea (or whatever takes your fancy). In the interests of fairness - and to clip Jenga's wings before he seizes on it for more snidey pops - Peterborough Panthers have nothing to do with the catering at the EoES.
  21. Whilst I don't disagree with you, I do think we need to bear in mind that at least we still have a speedway team at the EoES - and that's down to Ged's involvement. So I'm prepared to cut him some slack. Win or lose, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's meeting. Hope the forecast rain doesn't cause a postponement :-/
