  1. If you want top heavy, why not try something like this- 1- King 9.54 2- Heeps 5.87 3- Anders Thomsen 6.62 4- N Busk Jacobsen 6.91 5- Covatti 7.55 6- Tom Stokes 3.00 7- Zach Wajtkneckt 3.00 GSA total of 42.49 if my maths is right

  3. Good question, the way i see it is that Richard Lawson may of asked to ride for Lakeside, which is mutually beneficial to Redcar as they can have a guest for an absent #1. The rules are an iterpretation of however you see them, i only said what i know about the fast track reserves. That is unless the Redcar vs Berwick is the re-arranged meeting from May, thus making both meetings re-arranged reverting back to the original scenario of Lawson riding for his contracted club, as i believe he is a Lakeside asset.
  4. The rules are quite simple if you understand them, Swindon vs Lakeside is a re-arranged fixture so his PL commitment takes precedence, if it was the original fixture then Adam would be expected to ride for Lakeside and we would have a guest. As for the meeting itself it's either going to be a 60+ romp home, or a tight 50-43 affair. All depends if we get any rain or not.
  5. or if i'd used a calculator full stop, lol. it is fantasy after all
  6. 1 Cook 10.52 2 Boxall 5.69 3 Lawson 8.28 4 Kerr 5.94 5 R.Worrall 8.42 6 Ellis 4.14 7 Jacobs 3.44 Total 40.49 Averages taken off bspa Website and best of all, they're all British
  7. I don't think it is 100% justified but i do believe Rohan had implied that he was a bit fed up of Morten cutting him up. My preferred riding order would be 1 Richie Worrall 2 Gino Manzares 3 Morten Risager 4 Cameron Heeps 5 Rohan Tungate 6 Adam Ellis 7 Ritchie Hawkins reserves can be swapped over but wouldn't make much difference. reason for morten at 3 means he has inside gate at home and cam has outside gate in 14. could maybe swap them for away matches for the same reasons.
  8. The track may have been rideable at 5.30 or whenever they posted that it was still on, the persistent rain from 6 caused the referee to inspect the track at 7, postponed after it was still raining at half 6. those who wanted to could have gone in, i did and spoke to jl about it hence my opening sentence. in my opinion, if it had gone ahead, the meeting would have been poor, gate n go stuff, and any more rain, which we had from 7.30ish would have caused the track to go like ice and would of no doubt resulted in a rain off with people having paid to get in. either way, in my opinion, the promotion couldn't win. Thomas Cosgrove P.S Siggy was taking a track walk so those going to see him still could have, he was about!
  9. I can see what you're saying and where you're coming from. But surely heats 2, 8 and 13 are more difficult to score points in because the riders are all of similar quality in each heat. You specify heat 14 as a weak heat but surely its no different to heat 12, because you don't generally find a second string in either 12 or 14. For example somerset have Nick Morris and Alex Davies and ipswich have Rohan Tungate and Morten Risager in those heats, none of them are second string riders, and they're only up against similar riders or reserves.
  10. Richie Worrall confirmed as guest for Ben, see website for details. http://www.ipswichwitches.co/ The result i think will depend on Rohan, if he's rested then witches by 10-12, if he still feeling second hand then witches by 4-6, but has been announced as riding.
  11. Equally nice to meet you baldyman. and apologies to super blue for not being there when u stopped by. To the meeting, i can only really echo what others have said. Josh Bates, take a bow son, what a performance, fully deserved his 6 points. Hunger was definitely there from all 7 riders, keep this attitude going and should be targeting at least 2 points away this weekend. Plenty of positives to keep this momentum going. For glasgow, Compton was a surprise package, the others did as expected. Little Joe got better and better as the night went on and was pushing Morten all the way in ht14, keep it up mate. Regards Tom
  12. Your constant name calling (bit childish for a grown man) and criticism of other forum users whose opinions differ to yours is becoming extremely repugnant also, so take some of your own advice and give it a rest. Anyway, back to the meeting. Unfortunately can't see Glasgow troubling us too much, at least four of our riders to hit double figures i reckon. BIg Joe and Little Joe could cause a problem from Glasgow but other than that seems fairly one-sided. Regards Tom PS Jackal , if you come n find me, opposite supporters club hut with a young black lab, i'll buy your season ticket off you. oh wait, u don't have one because you don't go
  13. my point was that he didn't run a last, and surely thats the aim of speedway.
  14. A point from tonight could be realistic, looking at last years results Makinen scored 5 from 5 rides the first time he went there, and sadly got 0 from 4 in the play-off, so more of what he did in the first meeting will go a long way but it is early days. For me the 2 key riders for tonight are Leigh and Adam if they can score n get stuck in, a point isn't out of reach. But going with a single big hitter/number 1 was always going to leave the middle order vulnerable away from home. we're all entitled to an opinion as i can totally see where yourself and Aljack are coming from, but i just see it differently. Regards Tom
  15. Ignore the grumpy resident. If it ain't elite league, he ain't happy. Anyone with half an ounce of knowledge knows you and Adam, plus jari, and to a certain extent Ben, are going to take a bit of time to settle. All the best for the season, i will try n say hi when we get the next meeting at foxhall. Tom Cosgrove
  16. Or maybe, perhaps, as Mildenhall won the KO cup but couldn't face Scunthorpe as they unfortunately don't have a team entered this season, that they chose to use the current shield holders instead. none the less, good luck to both teams. Might just have to pop to west row one sunday as i haven't been for a few years, but unfortunately, not about for this one.
  17. I like how you've edited my post to suit . By my second point I'm assuming you mean about him getting his team spot. because if that was the case, josh bates would also be in the team a he is also dating a Miss Louis, n you can't show favourites with your children. And by fair, i mean not jumping on anyones back n completely slating them like in previous seasons.
  18. congratulations on a fair assessment. Jari and Adam were always going to take time, although both started to look more comfortable on their practice laps after. my only difference of opinion is of morten, yes he pootled round the inside but i do seem to remember him running olly allen up the banking in heat 5 n hold him off for that one point, a point that proved vital in the end. and your accusations for how he got his spot are unfounded so stop banging on bout it. Hope cams wrist is ok, had ice on it after the meeting after he aggravated it going through the fence. But all in all, an average performance with plenty of potential for improvement, bodes well for later in the season.
  19. Unfortunately, every rider from every club will do this at some point, heat 11 at foxhall last night my perception was sneddon laid on the track as jorgenson was last, then got 3-3 in the re-run. it works both ways I'm afraid and is part of speedway of today!
  20. why would rasmus go elsewhere when he's already been over here, not riding, and spent time with joe jacobs and cam. add to that he also spent the winter 'down under' with the pair of them also? yes he will ride for whoever he wants but i feel it'd take a lot for him to ride elsewhere if he was to come over. we are all aware of the underachievers, but this year has been a series of unfortunate events. work commitments have reduced my attendances to once thus far, but i support win or lose. you have a grievance against Chris or John or both, which is quite clearly a personal matter which is clear for all to see. My opinion on you is that you require speedway from the 70's, and haven't just gone with the times. Speedway probably has changed, especially not better for the brits, n perhaps not for speedway in general. But the product is what it is, neither me nor you or many others on here are in a position to change that. with regards to the 'egg' cup. you still are, or at least were, a mildenhall supporter. are you saying them winning the 4tt and the pairs is meaningless??? ok, so we didn't qualify for two cups, we are still in 2 semi finals i believe and still potential to get into the play-offs so don't right them off just yet.
  21. I believe he'd come on an assessed 7, but he'd definitely be worth a look, maybe get him over for the 16Lapper
  22. The court case was at this time also, but note my edit to. N I thought I'd take the time to get the evidence for aljack.
  23. http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.1571.1 Weds Jan 4th, see link above for confirmation. But if you remember he wasn't doubling up at the beginning of the season, so any premier league club showing interest wouldn't of even been considered!
  24. I for one would love to have seen nick in a witches race jacket, but how is he meant to be at both Swindon and Ipswich on a Thursday night??? On the subject of Sam, would love to fit him in, maybe get a 3 pointer at reserve for the end of season, Nielsen or Jacobs spring to mind for the experience. But what about Taylor, needs time to get sharp and fit, won't get that without racing. And tees, as he gave up long track for us, would be harsh unless he could get fixed up elsewhere. All in all, a tough call N I'll support whichever way they choose.
  25. John berry was before my time but its nice to see you make a half sensible contribution. Small problem would that the star riders won't want to ride so close to the gp, and those that are willing are already racing for the four elite league teams racing that night or are p participating in the Jason Lyons farewell meeting. Just out of curiosity, how is the 16lapper outdated? My suggestion would be the witches vs a GB select side (built to the 42.5 points limit) with reduced admission @ £10 adult. note: edited for accuracy
