Well actually it would only be about a third of the thread!! -
That's a massive assumption!
-
Well perhaps your promoter can come on here and clear it all up for us once and for all then.............................since he started this thread!

Dissertation Questionnaire- The Results
TesarRacing replied to speedy19902006's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The results of the survey are very interesting - obviously a lot of thought has gone into the questions. Perhaps I am in the minority but I happen to think Promoters do a pretty good job in the main but I think these results should be of great interest to them. -

TesarRacing replied to A ORLOV's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
It would appear the Swindon promotion have more pressing matters than admission charges for a meeting that is just over a week away!!! -

The Start Of The Decline
TesarRacing replied to THE DEAN MACHINE's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I have been going to speedway since 1972 when I had my first motorcycle and I must say I enjoy my speedway now more than I did back in the seventies. I think the racing was probably better then but I do like a lot of the ways in which it has changed and been brought up to date. I know a lot of supporters won't agree with that statement but that is my personal view. I attend more meeting now than I did in the 70's and 80's - probably because I can afford to, especially meetings not involving my team. I think it is easy to be nostalgic about the sport - I don't think it was great as we remember and of course having forums these days to dissect every little issue in the sport, rule change, negative comments from supporters who don't go anymore tend to breed negativity. I personally thank all the riders and promoters in particular for keeping the sport going in very difficult economic circumstances. -
He always liked a big challenge!! Best of luck Havvy!

Matt Ford To Be Commended
TesarRacing replied to 21st century heathen's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I don't think many have changed their opinion of MF. I said in my previous post that this is the way that I would expect him to handle the situation but of course it has been handled in a way that is the best interests of Poole Speedway anyway - nothing wrong with that. But as SCB has already said, he will still manipulate rules etc to gain a advantage for Poole. -
Matt Ford To Be Commended
TesarRacing replied to 21st century heathen's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Agreed, I fully applaud him for his comments. What ever you think of MF I would always expect him to say the right thing in these circumstances. Probably already has! -
I think all riders should be ordered to win every race, home or away!!!
-
Absolutely TWK - quite agree!

This is a very interesting thread hearing what the riders are up to now! I think Neville Tatum still rides - possibly Longtrack, don't know if anyone can confirm? I know he took an upright machine from TrackPlus last year and he rode at Herxheim in Germany I believe.

Kacper banking on Troy the translator: NEW signing Kacper Gomolski is hopeful Troy Batchelor’s future can be sorted soon, as he believes the Australian will play a vital role in helping him settle into life at Swindon. The young Pole will line up at reserve alongside Ashley Birks following aloan move from Peterborough, but Batchelor’s return to the Abbey Stadium has not been confirmed yet due to the ongoing dispute between the Robins and the Panthers. The 19-year-old doesn’t speak English, but with Batchelor fluent in Polish the youngster is keen to see the two clubs to come to an agreement which would allow the new Australian champion to return to Blunsdon. “I know Troy from when I rode at Peterborough and he is a good guy, and I hope it all can be sorted for the good of both clubs and that they can make a compromise,” Gomolski said through manager Krystian Plech. “He is very helpful, and he speaks good Polish because he has ridden there for a long time, and he is good in the paddock which is very important too. I am not sure what is going on because I am in Poland, but I hope the two clubs can make a compromise which will see Troy ride for Swindon. “But it is important as a speedway rider to focus on yourself even if it is a team sport, because it really matters to make sure you are in a good position.” Gomolski has spent the winter preparing himself for his first season with the Robins, and he continues to build his bikes to ensure he is ready to hit the ground running when the new campaign begins.

Ooops X 2! -
That is why I made the comment RS. Difficult to ascertain how fast they were going but if the electric motor does not offer sufficient engine braking you wouldn't be able to slow the bike enough to then power round the corners. I don't know enough about electric motors to know whether they can be 'tuned' to increase or decrease engine braking effect. Interesting concept though - I wonder whether Egon is putting his own money into the project?
