So, today is the day.
Despite a number of fans on here finding fault - I applaud the BSPA on this occasion and I hope it works out for the sport as a whole but also to 'bring on' the exciting young riders.
If nothing else, it has created a lot of interest on the forum and discussion.
Maybe a bit harsh but it is one of the reasons I don't like wealthy benefactors coming in to run speedway teams. It is all very well having owners that can absorb big losses but how do you get someone new to take over when the novelty wears out or the money gets tight.
I do like this initiative from the BSPA and I hope it works - will be very interesting. I do think Leicester should have been given the first pick though.
Yeah, I don't buy this watered down league bit! Supporters of all EL teams are stating the same so surely it evens itself doesn't it? A 7.5 ave rider in 2013 suddenly becoming a 9 pointer next season - ain't gonna happen!
I got it now.........Starman is correct. The earth rotates around it's axis from Wimbourne Road. So taking account of the speed of rotation (1070 mph) and the gravitational pull from all other speedway tracks in the world, it must be the fastest racetrack (I am sure Sudden Sam mentioned this in a Sky meeting).
Disappointed with the news that Holder will not be riding in the UK in 2014 - great rider to watch. There is nothing to stop him from riding for another team though is there, if the points limit it the reason Poole are not using him?
